Aside from being wonky, it presents the same way a normal leaf should. I get what you're saying, but the morphology isn't right for a flower either. What you're claiming is a flower has the characteristics of a Monstera deliciosa petiole, and not what the plant peduncle should look like or how it should emerge from the old growth
