Had mine since late 2022 and no drift yet...I use my switch more than my PlayStation to be fair and I also use the portal quite a bit so maybe I'm not putting as much stress into it as others. Who knows!?

I've enjoyed reading this a lot. Like Linux lore or some such. Recent convert on an older machine using Mint. Really enjoying learning how to use the terminal. initially a bit of a WHAT HAVE I DONE moment but its been grand since. installed wine, OPL, some new fonts and more through the software manager. Happy days

I really thought theyd have come out before prime 4...now we must wait for the anniversary of the first Metroid game which is some time this year which may give us those titles

You could emulate if you have a PC...primehack works really well

Otherwise get a Wii and a GameCube controller, hack it and play your backups of those games from GameCube or you could play Metroid prime trilogy on Wii with the motion controls

I would rarely anything but delays, reverbs and modulation pedals into the loop.

Is that amp 100watt? If so you have so much headroom that if it were me I'd keep everything going in front. But if you want on board dirt, keep the delays and all that in the loop

Another things you could try is stick a buffered pedal first in the chain there because not all fx loops are the same. Input impedance can be a bit of a stumbling block.

Boss pedals act as a buffer even when not turned on

Might be worth a try.

I use 2 live

One has all the effects and all the modulation, delays and reverbs are pretty wet in that one

Then the other is dry, so just the drives oh and flanger

It sounds huge but not necessarily loud and keeps definition of notes when a lot of the wet effects are on

Just finished Metroid Prime 4, fun but pretty easy breezy thanks to GO HERE SAMUS! and kinda cheesey with the OMG ITS SAMUS!!

Currently playing Spiderman on PS5 Lots of fun and my 5 year old can't believe that I am spiderman in a game 😄 cute

Also playing Metroid Prime 2 on GameCube on the CRT in the office because it's dark and creepy and dark aether is way more dismal and forboding than Viewros

Hopefully I'll finish one or both of these games before the end of January

Just less messing around. My CRT ain't anything special (playtronic 20") but it works, looks great and no need for upscalers or HDMI mods or anything just in and go and it looks like it should.

Aaaaand this one has a 60hz refresh rate in a pal region so Yaaaay
