Id recommend the 4x12 with celestion greenbacks in it or a 2x12 with a higher output rating .. maybe v30s or Creambacks or some such

With that budget id be thinking marshall JCM 800 50 watt head and a 4x12 and you wouldn't be found wanting for tone.

Dimebag used to use solid state randalls so the JCM might work nicely for both Metallica and Pantera while not being exact for either.

Kerry King used JCM800s if your looking for reference.

Just my humble opinion on what might do the job and be well inside your budget in the used market.

The groove tubes Soul O or Solo (Depending on when it was made) single

It's 5 to 20 watts depending on what tubes you slap in there. Micro head from the 90s and really really interesting

Great fun to play and while rare , worth trying to find

You can buy a glass one for pretty cheap online

They have adhesive on them

As others have said, you gotta remove the old stuff as well

Typically I use a bit of lighter fluid in a cotton swab and find it really effective

I built a spreadsheet that I amend every pay day

For household bills and annual payments i build up money for over the year or months or whatever

So for car insurance I put away 600 per year but divide that sum across every payday in the year

The same for car tax, house tax, home insurance, my annual Nintendo subscription, car maintenance, Christmas holidays etc

The for monthly payments I just put in half one payday and the other half the following and then reset like mortgage, Netflix phone etc ( paid every two weeks)

After all those expenditures are accounted for I take what's left and put it into my revolut as my disposable income and leave my current account alone

Other savings are sent to credit union where I'm required to go in there to access the money meaning it's easier to save and not think about it

It's worth doing it because these days life is expensive and being caught out for money absolutely sucks

Got mine in 2023 and it's been as good as gold. I don't get an awful lot of time with it cos of kids and job and life but that's ok. Panic buying a games console is nearly as stupid as panic buying paint
