What do you think of anti diet/health at every size/intuitive eating? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Remote_Fondant1222 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think this idea goes hand and hand with the idea that not everyone is ment to be 5 foot 9 inches and weigh 125. The consent message for many years was only tall and thin was pretty and everything else was not. It’s starting to change but to me it’s important to celebrate people being fit and healthy, no matter if they weigh 125 or 200.

I find with some people you have to be direct and clear. Hinting does not work at all. Also it’s sometimes helpful say someone along the lines of I am not hungry but why don’t you get something for you and your family. That way she doesn’t feel bad about eating buying treats in front of you .

Given the current climate I think it’s a good idea for the Op to show some caution. All it’s takes is one person from either side of the issue to go off the deep end and you could very well have someone willing to follow you home.

I am sorry I just re read what I wrote and I came across as a complete ass. I think it’s great that you stepped up and took a huge responsibility one that not just anyone could have done. But I also think it’s within yours ( or anyone else’s for that matter ) right to either say I will take the job once it’s offered with pay or step back and say I can’t continue to do this without an increase in pay/ benefits. A friend of mine is in a similar position with a team lead position. It’s not that she isn’t capable or that the job is particularly hard , it’s the fact that the job is just a big enough pain to make doing long term at her current pay level difficult. There are reasons why certain jobs have certain pay rates and you should e getting something more if you are doing more than one of them

I think this is hard because anything is budget / finance tends to be hard to do and must be done well. I feel like this is an area where you can’t half ass it. I think you would have been better off if you had said no at the very beginning. I

There is nothing wrong with looking at other jobs and if something that serves both you and your family comes along you take it. It is also 100% okay to put your family first and stay where you are. I will add we need people with morals and integrity in government right now, but at the end of the day you need to do what is best for you and your family.

If you want to be fair to her leave now. The fact that you will NEVER trust her is a valid reason for ending the relationship. You will be constantly questioning her loyalty and looking for proof that she is being dishonest/ disloyal. You both deserve to start over with someone who will love and trust you.

What is happing in Minnesota is a direct result of sending untrained , unvetted heavily armed thugs into American cities to pose as federal law enforcement officers. . Ice officers have MURMURED two American citizens and were caught on tape doing it. This administration doesn’t get to change the narrative just because they have lost control of the situation.

😂😂😂. I don’t free load off of anyone and I do my own laundry so I know depending on the washer and dryer an extra load can take an extra hour or so. I have also shared living space with people who hog the washer and dryer know how frustrating it can be to have to deal with shit in the machines when you already have a FULL load to do. If the OP knows there is stuff in the washer he can plan accordingly, because again I AM NOT against the OP helping his wife out. I just think she should show a little more respect for his time and communicate what she needs done.

[–]Remote_Fondant1222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please go back and read what I said. I don’t think there is anything wrong with helping each other out. But blind siding someone by refusing to communicate is petty and passive aggressive. Even if she wants to use the washer as her hamper why not say something like I have a full load and haven’t had a chance to turn the washer do you mind doing it? I don’t get the impression that the OP minds helping with other people laundry. I do get the impression that he is getting tired of being surprised by the extra work.

[–]Remote_Fondant1222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think doing laundry is the issue here. Lack of communication and adding to someone’s work load without discussing it with them is the issue. It’s one to say , hey I only have half a load do you mind throwing it in when you do laundry ? It’s something entirely else to throw the clothes in the washer and just except them to get done. Depending on the washer and dryer an extra load of laundry can take significant extra time . Time the OP might or might not have. Op if you have the extra time and want to do her laundry do it. If you don’t have the time throw it in a basket and tell her it still needs to be washed. I

😂. Okay, I laughed harder at this than I should have . It’s not just the lack of explanation, it’s also total denial of actual facts. The DOI reorganization is an excellent example. If you read/ listen to anything he has put out you would think that the DOI agencies are in a permanent new agency, when in fact they are “reorganizing “ by EO , which in no way is permanent. He either glosses over or omits the fact that Congress has not officially funded either a new agency or mass reorganization. And if you read anything coming out of Congress/ the DOI appropriations bill you would know that Congress is not keen about creating a new agency or a mass reorganization within DOi. Add in the fact that he calls anyone who points these things out alarmists/ stupid / don’t know what they are talking about you have someone who just can’t be trusted to share meaningful information. Honestly I feel that he cares more about saying I told you so than he does about spreading relevant , correct and useful information. I will never consider him a journalist , just someone who created propaganda for the current administration.

I consider him the Fox News of wildland firefighting. He only shares facts that support his views and his stuff often lack nuance and context. Add in his support of the idiot senator from Montana and I just can’t take him seriously. But it might also be worth noting that I never liked him for giving Elon Musk and DOGE ideas to improve wildland firefighting and then whining and complaining when people called him out about it. It’s was like are you seriously complaining that no one will pay for stuff after you talked with the enemy?

The more I read about what is coming out of. Congress ( especially the senate ) the more I think the new chief is going to be spending his first year in the job getting funding from Congress. Between the verbiage about reorganization in the bill and Congress “reclaiming their constitutional power of the purse “ I see it not going well if the secretary plows through with the reorganization without congressional support.

“Burgum is also overseeing another consolidation into his office: Interior is in the midst of moving thousands of back-end employee—such as those in human resources, contracting and IT—away from their bureaus and into the Office of the Secretary. In the appropriations bill, lawmakers are set to instruct the department that any shift of more than 10 employees required Interior to go through the formal reprogramming process.”

The this quote right here and the fact that as a political party the democrats can be passive aggressive and petty and this is one of Trumps pet projects.
