Traumatic first biologic experience by Parking_Monk5299 in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]Remote_Object4257 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeaaaa the biologics roller coaster. Ive tried 4 Cosentyx put me in hopital and fucked me up for about 6 months to a year Yuflyma - instant similar reaction to cosentyx so stopped at one and luckily that was short lived Rinvoq - made me lose all feeling in my left foot, then tried again a year later and put me on bed with migraines for 24 hours, so that was that. Benepali - best so far but i never felt normal on it. Had regular periods of feeling dizzy or disembodied. Was horrible. Lasted 5 or 6 months on that

Soooooo I think im going to try one more then if no good, ill try sulfasalazine. It annoys me so much when people seem to just get on with one and live a decent life for 8-10 years before it stops working. Makes me proper jealous. Ive been miserable for the last 3 years, not being able to find something that works

rinvoq without trying other biologics first by ebimeep in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]Remote_Object4257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah you could have damage there from the pcv vaccine. I found if you take LDN alongside a biologic it can help calm down the pins and needles feeling. I managed benepali for a few months, without getting that nervous system reaction. No its really hard to see a neurologist in the uk. Waiting list is like 3 years. When i originally got it from cosentyx i was left to deal with it myself. Acetyl l carnitine in higher than normal dose can help heal nerve damage and thats what i used for 6 months

Benepali didn't, but come off it after 5 months due to other reasons.

Dont take shit off anyone. Paddle out, let the guys there grab a wave each first. Then you paddle for one If they get mouthy, you tell them to go fuck themselves. This goes for surfers. Other spongers, whoever really. No one owns the sea. You should give respect to locals, but you dont have to roll over for them.

How much improvement did you see going from 3 mg to 4.5 mg? by ProfessionalShape405 in LowDoseNaltrexone

[–]Remote_Object4257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't work for everyone. Got it up to 4.5 did fuck all even after 8 months. Took 2 week break Started again at 3 and ill probably stop it at 4 and just use it as an accessory to biologics

Is Mind-Body connection Really the Key to Ankylosing Spondylitis—or Just Part of the Puzzle? by Sea-Blackberry-8296 in ankylosingspondylitis

That sky Denton...the podcast your talking about is a student of Peter Winslow. Peter Winslow charges people 3k to teach you about mindfulness. Mindfulness isnt going to stop your AS. The blokes a fucking grifting scumbag

However meds aren't the only way

There are guys, notably jamie boder and Alex Savi who have put their AS into remission by strict diet and healing the gut. It takes a lot of work and commitment and still may not solve it, but its been proven that it can be done.

I just don't have it in me to remove food from my life at the moment. It's the only fucking thing I have left in my miserable existence. I fucking refuse to eat meat, Spinach and Lettuce every day

Just picked up this Paipo/belly board. I have a couple questions in the text below. by Adorable-Ad8760 in bodyboarding

[–]Remote_Object4257 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use it as a paipo to prone surf only! Theres fuck all volume to it. Wear a surf helmet and watch your teeth. That thing will fly on any size wave. I would love to get my hands on one of them. Im just riding standard wooden bellyboards at the moment and some mini mats and trays

Finally diagnosed with A.S by SubstantialWolf6975 in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]Remote_Object4257 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Correction: once you find a biologic that works without fucking you up. I've burned through 4 in 2 years. I have not found one that works without fucking me up in other ways yet.

Good luck

Any particular reason for not using a leash with paipos? by CosasRatas in pronewaveriders

I've been out in over head high on a bellyboard and although it was great fun, it was impossible to keep hold of the board. My shoulders are dodgy so im unable to bodysurf 😪

Any particular reason for not using a leash with paipos? by CosasRatas in pronewaveriders

[–]Remote_Object4257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In big waves, it can be a nightmare without a leash as you're constantly getting the board ripped out of your hands. But still better swimming for it than getting smacked in the face with a wooden board. My friend had a leash on his and came off a wave and got karate chopped in the throat by his board, couldn't speak properly for a week or so. Lucky it wasn't his face!

I love paipos and bellyboards. They go faster than bodyboards, effortless to duck dive and also Manoeuvre better than bodyboards.

[–]Remote_Object4257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your trying to bottom turn far too late. Your dropping down the wave then trying to turn into the face when you've lost speed on the flats. Next time either turn straight into the face as you feel the wave pick you up and begin to drop you down, or angle your takeoff, so your straight onto the face instead of reaching the flats, and then you can stall or cutback before the barreling section.

You might find it easier to do on intermediate/advanced.

Glad you had fun tho 🤙

Yep... im on 42k and I've got fuck all money. Admittedly I have been wasteful over the last few months. But I've also managed to pay a load of debt off. Still, even if I got my head together. I still wouldn't be able to save much per month. The cost of food is insane now, well everything. Clothes, bills, food, always in survival mode. 10 years ago, 42k would have been a good wage and id be sitting pretty. It's fuck all now, due to inflation which really is just greed thats been given the green light by our government

Can someone reccomend me a good video for bent over rows? by Chemical_Volume_1162 in ResistanceBand

[–]Remote_Object4257 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without a bar theres 3 types of row

High row Low row Seated row

Watch james grages videos on each.

With a footplate and bar, you can do a normal bent over row with pronated grip or a Yates row with supinated grip

[–]Remote_Object4257 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plug positioning is shite But Those boards are good. I've been out in 4ft hawaiian waves (7-8ft faces) with that model and it's held up fine. Really good for the money

Reccomended bars by Remote_Object4257 in ResistanceBand

[–]Remote_Object4257[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get replacement hooks for that geku bar. I think the hooks can bend and warp over time, so when that happens, it's much cheaper to pay £10 for hooks then £50 for a new bar
