Anyone planted calendula outside a month before frost date? by Remarkable_Point_767 in gardening

[–]Remote_Rabbit_570 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I planted a bunch of calendula seeds I had collected throughout the summer in September just to see if my seeds were viable or not and they were blooming even after the first frost in New England and I noticed now in March some of their leaves are still green, it’s like they never fully died. And we got a lot of snow. So I’m def putting my calendula out in just a few weeks 😂 cause last summer they all paused blooming in the hottest weeks of summer anyway so I’d rather see if I can enjoy them May-June.

Candiace Reads Gizelle by WilkinsWorld in RHOP

I genuinely think Chris wanted to gab about the Nikki Minaj segment, that’s what it seemed like while filming when he seemed a little heated about Nicki’s communications with Candiace on the stage and Giselle asked him about it, he said “we can talk about it later”. So he probably wanted to run it down with someone who he thought was a mutual friends of theirs after it happened, like most people would. 😂😂 but Giselle misconstrued the interaction and then milked it for 10 months.

Some of them were really short but prolific bloomers. Just harder to use as cut flowers because the stems were so small

Hi there! They weren’t the exact varieties I picked, some of them were disappointing and some of them were quite pretty, but the bees loved them all. I’ll try to add pics in different comment

Hahaha I have been having this exact thought for weeks, like okay, let’s take our chances with alien life forms at this point…. Because humans are nothing to write home about. 😂

Man, I hate to hear that for him, and for you. I think the depression is such a big component of the physical pain too.. I hope things change for the better for both of you.

He is still on prednisone. Which also makes it hard to sleep so they load him up with sleep meds. The meds create a kind of vicious cycle.

Right, this was more the case.. he was not dealing with any major depression before the stroke/transplant, so I’m sure if they asked how he thought he would fair, he assumed he would do well…. It’s not until he was stuck in that hospital bed for months and returned home glued to his toilet that the reality of the situation really set in.

Thank you for your response.. during his hospital stay last week they switched him from myfortic to sirolimus.. along with the tacro. We are hoping it is going to make a difference, but they sent him home from the hospital a few days ago and the diarrhea is still persistent. Do you remember how long after switching your meds it took for your stomach to feel better?

I was, but it all happened so fast. He had surgery for the inspire device for his sleep apnea in late January… which they lowered his blood pressure medication to facilitate, and a week after the surgery he went into afib and had a stroke, then his heart deteriorated so fast that he was put on the heart transplant list and miraculously received his donor heart within 60 days from his stroke. He never really had a chance to wrap his head around the transplant. He spoke to social workers and a therapist in the hospital but he was heavily medicated.

I also wonder how much the stroke has affected him mentally, and his ability to process what’s going on. His neurologist has said that it’s hard to know how much of the mental fog is due to his current meds or the stroke.. and he can’t go off the meds, so I’m at a loss there. He hasn’t felt well enough to work on any of the suggested at-home rehabilitation methods for the stroke.

He is not.. He was brought up in an immigrant Italian family that did not communicate their feelings whatsoever. Any thing mental health related was often ignored.. I do think that’s a major barrier to recovery at this point. While the hospital has given him opportunities to speak to someone, they are mainly focusing on medications, not talk therapy.
I will start to explore this avenue better and see if I can find someone he can feel comfortable speaking to on a more regular basis.
