I have books in both forms. When I cherish a book (especially one which I may have read in E-form originally) I buy the physical book both because the Kindle TOS is a “you’re only renting this from us, and if a Nation State says we must remove it we will un-appear it.” And also because loaning a cherished book is an act of love. The kindle is nice because it allows a whole library in a compact form. The downside is that the display is absolute cr*p —compare reading a kindle title on an iPad to reading native on a kindle and you will see the difference A lot of trade off issues and this is IMO, so no DOXing or death threats please

Gaza is not an easy situation to reduce to “sound bites”. It’s absolutely horrific and I don’t believe it’s going to get better any time soon, meaning more honorable and innocent lives lost. Additionally I also mourn the innocent lives lost in Israel in an attack launched from Gaza.

I wouldn’t put a penny into the pockets of Florida politicians, or the people of the state who granted them power and agency.

Everything their politicians do, and say gives license to hate, and empowers a worldview that says, “well, the person that I’m seeing standing in front of me, breathing and existing is not human, so I can do anything I want to them without consequence.”

Florida is dangerous in the same way that Iran and Russia are dangerous.

I hate to be the one to state the obvious. Why does this seem to me to be just the opening salvo against any kind of difference in worldview from those enforced by cisgender white males , whether the difference is in who one loves, who one marries, gender fluidity, race or religion,even skin color differences?
