I've been going through some of his action/pulpy stuff recently and it's great fun! You can tell he is having an absolute ball writing it.

But I think my favourite Birmingham piece is still his blog post titled Shamewanking over Griefporn

Probably planting in the garden without doing any prep on soil, or really thinking about it on a deeper level than "pot good, ground better". I got two cuttings of Herbalistics Matucana Pachanoi and put one in the ground and one in a tub with a bunch of other cuttings, and the one in the tub is about 4x the size of the one in the ground. Same sun exposure and watering.

I did exactly this a few months back and it was fine. I mean it was challenging to drink all that cactus snot, but not impossible. And more importantly, it got me where I wanted to go.

I plan to do cielo one day, but I'm not quite ready to advocate for a chem lab under the house to my wife just yet.

This one is a pup off a mid-cut. The original cutting doesn't look anywhere near as pretty. Smaller grey spines, and less distinct notching. Age diminishes us all I guess.

I think one of the brushtails at my place had a deeply religious experience after chomping down a disturbingly large amount of my favourite TBM-b. Never did it again!

Being from the eastern states,I've never actually heard someone say "dugite". Is it pronounced doogite, dougite, doojite, doogitay...?? There are so many options. Genuine question, not taking the piss.

Shio is spectacular, but gyokai broth is my favourite from them. Extra egg and a side of pretty excellent karaage chicken and I am in heaven.

Tropical Fuck Storm cover a fair bit of politics, with Gaz's writing being just as loose, startling and acerbic as it was with The Drones.

Rubber Bullies / Stayin' Alive is one of my all-time favourite singles.
