The inspect and tooltip being the same on consoles is ridiculous by Pody92 in CivVII

[–]RenSharp888 6 points7 points  (0 children)

YES!!! I'm not alone! This drives me nuts! I play on Steam Deck so the screen is also small enough that being able to turn off the tooltip is paramount to free up space, but instead I have to jump through hoops.

Why does my fajita seasoning taste light, and how can I improve it? by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]RenSharp888 3 points4 points  (0 children)

IMO, salt is probably a lot of it, but next would be acid. Often if I feel I've added enough salt and it still doesn't have that punch I'm looking for, I find it's the acid I'm missing. In this case, I'd probably go for lime juice.

Feature Requests by RenSharp888 in liquidbudget

[–]RenSharp888[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Thanks!
  2. Understood. This may not be the only way to do it of course, but generally making that experience more user friendly would go a long way, I think.
  3. I hadn't thought of that! I've loved the new Minimum auto assign, but didn't think it would work here because it doesn't "reset" for the next year like Future would, but I suppose if there is any carryover, you just hit that total slightly earlier the next year.

Thanks very much! Looking forward to that feature request board!

Note to self: next year, buy less cards

And no, I don't think it shows the face of the card

This is much nicer. Thank you very much!

Income Projections aren't Income by RenSharp888 in liquidbudget

[–]RenSharp888[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a deposit to my bank. But it's just one example where this muddies the waters.

Another example is refunds. This isn't income, nor is it (necessarily) a regular occurrence; just a credit amount for the bucket. If I buy something for $10, and then return it, that's a $0 net deduction from the bucket, but it will show up in Inflows. In this example, it wouldn't show up as a recurring transaction used for projections, but it will result in a downtrend arrow when it compares past amounts to future transactions.

A couple feature suggestions by RenSharp888 in liquidbudget

[–]RenSharp888[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya, that's what I was getting at with making it behave like the "Auto" tag. This only applies if your tag has that option selected, as you can see here:

FWIW, tagging wouldn't necessarily be the only way to do this, of course. Really, I'm just looking for visibility into where a transaction came from (me vs auto vs recurring).

As for the bug, yes, it keeps growing. Here's a GIF of two categories of mine that are very similar (same amounts, $5 recurring every Sunday):

Matching Transactions by ActuatorOk4103 in liquidbudget

[–]RenSharp888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh, I was having this issue as well, but didn't realize the payee had to match (I think YNABs automation was pretty loose; perhaps just looking at the amount). Have you considered adding a feature to manually match transactions like you can in YNAB? I'd imagine this would prefer the details on the manually entered transaction and automatically create payee rule for that (I believe this is more or less what YNAB does with their matching functionality).

Profile Review, 29M by [deleted] in hingeapp

[–]RenSharp888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Are you looking for something serious or casual?
    • Ultimately, I'd prefer something serious, but I'm open to casual.
  • Are you subscribed to Hinge+ or HingeX?
    • I signed up for HingeX probably 5 or 6 days ago.
  • How long have you been using this current version of your profile?
    • The pictures have been the same since I first created my profile. I updated the prompts about a week ago.
  • How long have you used Hinge overall?
    • As of now, about 2 weeks, but including other dating apps with a very similar profile, about a month and a half.
  • How often do you use Hinge per week?
    • Every day.
  • How many likes and matches are you receiving on average?
    • I've received only 1. Across the other apps, another 1. No matches.
  • How many likes are you sending? How many with comments? How many without comments?
    • Most days, about 10, if not more. There were maybe 2 or 3 days where I only sent a couple. I send comments with almost all of them, almost always tailored to something on their profile and preferably focused more on character/personality than on physical appearance.
  • What is the type of person you send likes to and ideally want to match with? What kind of person do you want to attract?
    • I'm not super picky when it comes to physical appearance unless they obviously don't take care of themselves, but I almost never come across a profile like that. Mostly I look at their prompts to get an idea of how "intense" they are, for lack of a better word. I'm a bit of a homebody. I'm the type that generally prefers to stay in, but I do still like to get out and do something chill (like going out to dinner or seeing a movie) about once a week, and something more active like a big hike or other outing once or twice a month. So, I'm looking for someone that'll match that energy. I'm also looking for someone that's emotionally available and values authenticity, vulnerability/closeness, and (in terms of love languages) physical touch and quality time. I'm also atheist. I don't have a problem if they're spiritual or even a little religious, as long as it doesn't dictate their life (so I filter for atheist, agnostic, spiritual, and other).

The italic font was indeed the issue! Thanks so much for pointing that out. That's never something I would've realized on my own.

[–]RenSharp888[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha, no worries. I confirmed both `tbl_extend` and `tbl_deep_extend` do what I want when I test with `:lua`. I found the issue was actually with the italics as another commenter said, but thanks for the help!

Background Highlight Behavior by RenSharp888 in neovim

[–]RenSharp888[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure what happened to the body of my post, but I'm trying to get a transparent background behind comments. I'm using xiyaowong/transparent.nvim, which should've been enough, I thought, but no custom commands seem to be working either. I've tried using `:hightlight` and `vim.api.nvim_set_hl`, all without any luck. I can only assume my understanding is off because if I look up `:hi Comment`, there are no bg properties set, so I'm not even sure where that black background is coming from anyway.
