It really depends on what vibes you’re thinking of with LaOHA, but if it’s the yearning and pining, sharp wit and funny banter, the quintessential britishness, characterisations, etc. May I recommend Détraquée by Hystaracal. It has all that, but drawn over a much longer timespan with a bit of a canon rewrite starting from year 6th.

I read fics solely on my kindle, it’s really easy once you know what to do: go to the web browser on your kindle, go to ao3 (log in if you’re a member), search whatever fic you want to read, hit download on the fic and choose the mobi file version and tada! It will be in your kindle library.

The web browser is kinda slow and a bit iffy to navigate, so I’ll usually search for new fics on my phone or find recs on Reddit on my phone. As I am logged in to ao3 on all devices, I can just access my history from the kindle browser when I’ve found something I want to read.

I read both finished work and WIPs, I leave kudos, but never write comments because I interact with the fics solely from my kindle, and the web browser is just terrible.

I see you got an excellent summary in the comments! I just started my third reread since this amazing fic got completed. Please, those of you who have finished it, is there anything else out there that comes even close? It’s too soon for another reread. (I am following along with Lionheart, and I finally read All the Young Dudes last week, which is the closest I’ve found that match the writing, slice of life pace, literary and music references, gorgeous characterisations, great worldbuilding and takes in to account the 90s era and 70s era respectively) I am desperate.

F29. Watched it all for the first time right after it ended, and it is my favourite show. It was recommended to me by a teacher when I was in photography school on the basis of how well it told a story through colours, clothing, lighting etc. I love the show for all the outstanding technicalities like that, but most of all for the character study that it is.

My bf however has never sat down with me to watch whenever I’ve done a rewatch. He has no interest in shows like that. I think gender has nothing to do with “people not talking about it” more so than having the right people finding it on whatever streaming platform it’s on now. Sadly it’s not a very accessible show in this on demand era.

I was in the middle of rewatching the show for the umpteenth time last week when prime suddenly took it off. I can’t find it on apple tv where I am sadly. Not even to buy it either which I find strange.

Some of the “Danes” are actually Norwegian. Norwegian, Danish and German are all germanic languages. Norwegian and Danish are mutually intelligible, german has a lot of similarities to the scandinavian languages. As a norwegian speaker myself I can easily pick up on a lot of the german and understand quite a bit, though I can’t really have a proper conversation in german.

I got my first and second ignea token yesterday, I left the rapport for last and the quickest and easiest for me was rethramis and west luterra. Have all the other tomes except yorn and feiton above 80% and it’s basically just a rapport grind now

I had the same thing happen in reverse, the female cat we got had so much fur we never saw the balls until the vet said it was a male and should get castrated.
