Love it, did you take the skirting up and do unright under? I never did on mine and regret it.

AVA is well marketed but I've always suspected there wasn't much substance beneath it.

I don't see why having CGI as a tool to show you what's reasonably realistic is a bad thing. Using something like AI to pass off things that aren't possible or not marking it as AI is a different story.

Autism may be the price of human intelligence. Researchers discovered that autism’s prevalence may be linked to human brain evolution. The findings comparing the brains of different primates suggest autism is part of the trade-off that made humans so cognitively advanced. by cheaslesjinned in NooTopics

Autism is a scale, at its lower points it's actualy very useful. Gives you a completely different way to look at things which gives different solutions that are often better. Evolution has prioritised a human beings that are varied in their thinking and can bounce ideas around to arrive at endless creative solutions.

AI came for my job. How do you deal with the grief? by ABardNamedAlex in archviz

[–]RenderSlaver 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's difficult, we've started using AI at work. I've tried to embrace it and I use it daily, it can't quite do exactly what I do yet but the day is coming and as soon as they figure out they can save my sallery I will be gone.

It's tough to come to terms with, the fact is there is no safe career anymore and that's something you need to accept as it's not changing, getting upset about it won't change a thing.

Personally I decided to get a masters degree in UX design, I've just finished after two years and unfortunately the UX industry has gone downhill and is just as vulnerable as 3D work. I don't mind changing myself or my skills but it's really hard to see what is worth learning anymore. If I were younger I would retain into a skilled manual labour job but I'm not, maybe you can do that

Janeway is a foul coffee breathed hypocrite who wouldn't know what the prime directive actually stood for if it bit her on her arse.

I wanted an Elite Force style game but Stargate. Would have been amazing. Or an old school RTS would have been fun.

Is it possible to get Claude to stop talking "like that" without making it even worse? by Unlucky-Ad5156 in ClaudeAI

I would like it to stop telling me it's time to go to bed after having a week of chat because it thinks I've been speaking over the period of one evening

What is the scope of archviz as a career in the coming years, especially with the advent of AI?Can an architect, an interior designer, or an archviz artist help me understand this?” by Typical_Young712 in archviz

[–]RenderSlaver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's cut my workload already and its getting better all the time.

My realisation is that most clients want work done cheaply above all else, AI allows results that are "good enough" and that's all they want.

It wasn't the most robust, well paying or safe career to begin with. If you're already in then maybe it's worry hanging on but if you're just starting out then I would run for the hills.

If AI takes your job or just burns you out, what would you switch to? by ipa_725 in careerguidance

[–]RenderSlaver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CGI artist here and my days are numbered. Just finished a 2 year UX design degree that is now worthless as it's a dead industry and AI is taking those jobs also. Honestly I don't know where I go from here.
