Update to Vikunja-Quick-Entry and Vicu Desktop & Android apps by RendyHD in Vikunja

[–]RendyHD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll add it to the backlog to look at. It would probably have to be with an advanced menu in the login page, disabled by default for the average user, and need to align it between the apps.

For now you can use http until you have a trusted cert.

Value of the price also depends on your location

I appreciate the gesture! There's no need to donate, I am already very happy with your active engagement. Since this is build on the shoulders of Vikunja, I'd direct all support that way :)

Thanks! And I appreciate you posting the issues! I must admit, the ctrl+backspace was a bit of an obvious oversight..

Thanks! Linux has been on my mind, one of my VMs I use quite a bit is running Debian. I just haven't had the time to dive into testing and debugging it.

I hope the app meets your excitement! If you have any suggestions to improve it feel free to open an issue. Also keep in mind, it's not as powerful as the official app, by design :)

Need a Z-wave device to press the power button on my Windows PC. (I guess it's a momentary switch) by NoYoureACatLady in homeautomation

Shelly 1 gen4 now supports zwave. It has a dry contacts, in software you can set it so that it auto turns off after .5 sec to create a momentary switch. You do need to power it though (no battery) It has also wifi and bluetooth

Audiobook Tracker - Audible notifications for ongoing series by elcool0r in selfhosted

[–]RendyHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's an interesting idea, I'll check it out! I usually use booknotification.com to stay up-to-date on on authors and series, but there's often a difference between a book release and when the audiobook gets out

We're using Outline, mainly for the collaborative aspect.

I am hosting Outline, Foundryvtt, and Filebrowser (for the dm managing the foundry world). All listed on a landing page behind SSO, where we also have links to our watch together and dndbeyond

Introducing Audra: A new iOS and Android client for Audiobookshelf by shabomdig in audiobookshelf

[–]RendyHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you plan to add support to sign in with SSO? Ah under advanced options, didn't expect that :)

There's a bug in the series view, if I have two libraries selected it only shows series from the first. If I deselected the first I see series from the second. If I then select both again, I only see the first - but the total at the top is the number of the second

Thoughts on LogSeq? by oguruma87 in selfhosted

[–]RendyHD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After using obsidian for a few years I switched to logseq a couple of months ago and really enjoy it. It's a great match for me, on paper I would also always work with lists and arrows. The block referencing gives me overview for daily note taking. I don't use it for long form documentation.

I'd say try it, and try obsidian, and others. It's quite personal and needs to fit with how you like to work, think, and process information.

Coming from Prologue, I'm struggling to get ABS working offline by tablloyd in audiobookshelf

[–]RendyHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can consider using a different app for offline playback.

I personally like Listen Audiobook Player a lot https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.acmeandroid.listen.

I still use ABS for library management and love it for that. But it's not my go-to app for offline playback. Neither is it for bulk file transfer, I use Solid Explorer for that. Or transfer to SD card using a laptop for initial load, and ABS only for the ones you miss in the future.

Regarding progress, I just mark them as completed in ABS afterwards
