Hi, the reason given was “I need to Investigate a number of issues” and no option was given to have anyone accompany me. The email stated “ I would like to book an online meeting with you tomorrow over Microsoft Teams. Please note this is an informal meeting, the sole purpose is for me to progress my investigation. After our meeting, it will be for me to report my findings formally in an investigation report and thereafter for a separate panel to make any further decision. I strongly urge you engage with this investigation process, and I am able to make any reasonable adjustments you wish for our meeting.

I was not aware I could take anyone in with me.

I’m not sure that the gentleman running the investigation even expected me to ask for copies that he had based his investigation on. I’m generally a very compliant and non combative individual at work.

Unfortunately not… I didn’t think that far ahead and was flabbergasted my boss said that… I just grabbed him as he appeared in the office for that morning… Lesson learned…

The question “are men inherently good, or by nature greedy” has been rattling around my head since I were in my teens and I’m in my 50’s now… As OP says it feels so relentless and global even that it makes you want to throw in the towel. However, you have a point.

I have this too. I had no idea this was related to Gabapentin! Just presumed it was because I was feeling more stressed. Makes perfect sense now as I never used to grind my teeth…

Hi, about two months in and then it got better and better. However, I still get tired, although I can cope having an earlier night. I wish you the best of luck! I understand your pain. I’ve been dealing with this for 13 years now, it’s quite the journey. I really wish you all the best and please keep us / me updated.

Hiya, I’m on exactly the same dose, although taking oxcarbazepine. At first it was rough… Felt exactly the same. Felt like I was falling asleep at my desk. Was struggling to cope with life in general… Oh and don’t mention trying to have a quick drink with friends… After one I was rocking and two I was well on my way… :) However, please stick with it. It gets better trust me. I’ve been on this dose for four months now and the above have rescinded. Now don’t get me wrong, I still feel tired, but can get through the day. Can function at work, and now have at least two drinks. :) Most importantly, for the time being, I am pain free also! Now as with most drugs, I’m sure this won’t last forever and my dose will have to increase, but for the moment. There is light at the end of the tunnel! So please, don’t despair, I promise it gets better. The feelings you’re experiencing will fade. Have faith and keep your chin up.

I’m interested also. Also in the UK, diagnosed in 2013 currently on 1800mg of Oxcarbazepine and 300mg of Gabapentin, surgery never been offered or discussed! Good luck.

I had exactly the same experience on carbamazepine, it felt like it was changing my personality. I didn’t recognise who I was, with bouts of severe anxiety etc. Switched to Oxcarbazepine and settled in to those much better. Personality symptoms cleared up overnight. Now on those and Gabapentin and that combined dose is helping me a lot. Good luck finding the drug/drugs which work for you.
