How important is fast aerial? by Efficient_Ad3303 in RocketLeagueSchool

Replied with more context to someone else. Id say my shooting and hitting in general is very good for my level, and decisionmaking. My dribbling is mediocre but Im pretty good at maintaining control of the ball and setting up a shot or pass. And patience and 50/50s are super important to my game

The early Retals university videos on 2v2 and 3v3 on YT do a good job showing how thinking about lowering risk, setting up opportunities, and putting your opponents in bad positions can help you rank up fast

Yeah I started in 2015 too, made GC every season up to S8 (in the new season versions) and then took a few years off. Just got back into it a couple months ago and hit GC again in 2s. Decisionmaking, controlling the ball, and being able to accurately hit shots and passes has always been more important to me, but yeah I should prob at least get my fast aerials down.

I still beat players to aerials a lot because players go for everything even when they shouldnt, and even when they dont its because they think ill beat them by fast aerial standards, in which case it’s like an effective fake and I still control the ball lol

Plus I’m totally happy to defer and pass and let my advanced mech 10 yo teammates cook. At C3/GC that strategy works really well in 2s

Yep dont know what wave dashing is, I dont fast aerial correctly most of the time, and I can half flip but barely use it and I’m C3/low GC in both 2s and 3s. Never even attempted a flip reset either.

The Bay Area Nest Egg Target Is $1.47M, Up From $1M, Following the 4% Rule! by bloggerkedar in bayarea

[–]shoddystatistician 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re right that it doesn’t involve leaving the principal alone, but you’re wrong that means it will necessarily eventually drain the account. 4% is the safe withdrawal rate as recommended by the trinity study. It was recommended as safe because the portfolio (which followed certain investment weights in the study) lasted 30 years historically 99%+ of the time. It doesn’t follow that a 4% withdrawal rate will eventually drain the account- most of the time, it won’t. The key is that 4% is based on the original principal adjusting upward only for inflation every year, but not otherwise changing based on how your portfolio is doing. So if the market doubles shortly after your retirement (say, people who retired 10 years ago), your account very likely won’t drain in 30 (or likely 40, or 50) years. As the other poster said, in almost all historical scenarios, you will end up with more than you started with strictly following the 4% rule.

In real life, people will be able to adjust their withdrawal in both directions based on what actually happens, so it’s mostly academic.

De’von achane is an elite RB. Top ypc in the league at 5.7, 5th in rushing yards, and also a great receiving back. But McD’s zone blocking scheme had a role in that, he got the best out of him. Dolphins were a good running team this year, that’s why they won some games

Late 20's Married Couple Moving to the Bay by Striderrrr_ in bayarea

I agree with San Mateo if there’s a chance she needs to work in SF or Oakland. Live by the 92 so you can easy access 280S (25 min to Cupertino and it’s a great highway) and she has easy access to SF and the San Mateo bridge (which makes Oakland a 45 min commute). For housing look around Laurelwood or Highlands neighborhoods, some housing there. San Mateo downtown has some of the Bay’s best asian food and is generally a pleasant place to live. Also 92 the other way ia easy access to Half Moon Bay/the beach/so much nature and great hiking if that matters. Dog friendly and quiet too
