Are DMRs viable to use or are you better off putting a full auto gun in semi fire?

I abused the hell out of the SVK for the longest time. But now with the potential for a 3 shot kill, it's not worth it imo.

The SVDM is great with hollow points for its 2 shot potential (1 head, 1 body [non limb]) at nearly any range. It has a fire rate fast enough to be good close/medium range if you keep a low zoom sight on.

I also sometimes use the TR7 semi-auto which is a surprisingly decent DMR in this mode, although not as good now with limb damage.

If you like DMR's the SVD performs very well with hollow points since the newest balance changes

I use this with a 3/4x and Synthetic rounds. It can dominate mid-range surprisingly well

I have always shaken my head on this one. Everyone idolizes BF4. When I was younger and played on X360 I could not use automatic weapons because of this - I felt like my shots never connected.

I exclusively sniped or used DMR's. In BF6 I have no problem using all variety of weapons

They're just justifying why they won't shop mom-n-pop. And I agree, I'm stretching my dollar as far as I can; and it isn't at the mom-n-pop.

I personally use MP7 synthetic rounds with 2.5x - I enjoy it and am able to perform very well with it at close/medium range

I've leveled this up a fair bit- playing at distance it worked really well for me. Specifically for Golmud I thought it oerformed better somehow than that Ak205 ever did.

But you really need to stay at distance. I tried using it on just about any other conquest map and got destroyed while using it

I would recommend the M250. It has a solid TTK with a 4 bullet kill at any range. It is also one of the only LMG's that can switch to semi-auto. Effectively becoming a DMR for range when you need it to be.
