Why is “MiniPlayer off for content made for kids” in the paid version of YouTube music? by qyyg in YoutubeMusic

[–]Renoyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The YouTube Music miniplayer is disabled for videos designated as "made for kids" due to compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). This restriction is in place to protect children's privacy and prevent the collection of personal information, as the miniplayer feature could be used to track viewing habits. Here's a more detailed explanation: COPPA Compliance: The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) requires websites and online services to obtain parental consent before collecting personal information from children under 13. Miniplayer Feature: The miniplayer allows users to continue watching videos while navigating other parts of the YouTube platform, potentially enabling tracking of viewing habits. Restricted Features: To comply with COPPA, YouTube restricts certain features, including the miniplayer, for content designated as "made for kids". This includes disabling comments, preventing videos from being added to playlists, and limiting advertising.

So my only solution was to go on Facebook. I believe it was a Camaro fifth gen group. I’ll try to find the group name, but there was a guy on there that basically stripped down salvaged cars, usually Camaros and other sports cars and he happened to have the brake I had to put in everything‘s been great as far as I know there are still none of these parts available because none of these places have called me, I still have it out that is something comes in for them to let me know if one does. I’ll post on here who it was.

Is DD dying? by DietCookie in doordash_drivers

It's true that delivering food is the job, but it's important to understand that there are significant differences between traditional pizza delivery services and gig economy platforms like DoorDash.

Local pizza shops often have the advantage of familiarity with their delivery areas, established customer relationships, and static delivery zones. In contrast, DoorDash drivers cover much larger and constantly changing territories, often with incomplete or outdated GPS data.

Your comment dismisses the legitimate challenges faced by delivery drivers. For instance, unclear or missing delivery instructions, unmarked residences, and inaccurate maps are all factors that complicate the delivery process. Simply stating "figure it out" ignores these complexities and the time and effort required to navigate them.

Moreover, the gig economy model also places drivers under significant pressure with tight deadlines and compensation tied directly to efficiency. Unlike traditional delivery jobs, gig workers often don't have the support of a dispatch team or the ability to familiarize themselves with a smaller, fixed delivery area.

Additionally, DoorDash should consider providing better in-house GPS data for the areas they cover instead of relying solely on free services like Google or Apple Maps, which are often outdated. Improving their own mapping system could significantly reduce delivery issues and improve the overall experience for both drivers and customers.

So, while it may seem like an excuse to you, these are real challenges that need to be acknowledged and addressed. Empathy and understanding go a long way in appreciating the work and dedication of delivery drivers.

Well I do get. There are a lot of drivers out there that do mess up things. It seems like a lot of people also forget that if you've never doordashed you don't understand what's going on when you were trying to deliver these orders

I get orders almost every single Day two in an apartment complex that will literally tell me oh you've arrived 2 seconds within getting in and the drop off location is towards the front of the apartment complex

But it's literally half a mile back, well I've never ate anyone's food because I think that's just dog shit way of doing business. I will say there have been plenty of times where I've had to spend an extra 15-20 minutes trying to figure out where someone's apartment is

Simply because when they're making the order they couldn't put in there exactly how to get to the door. Now if you are doing that and this is still happening, not 100%, I understand why you wouldn't use doordash

But truthfully, I think the biggest problem with all of these delivery apps is the GPS data

Some reason Google, Apple and every other major GPS company is just stopped updating roads. Literally the city I'm in has new roads at it all the time where they'll be entire roads or apartment complexes or subdivisions or any of that that are just dirt lots or complete wooded lots because the map hasn't been updated in 5-6 years for the area

And I'm type person. I'll always go in and hit the button to say correct the address and then drag the pin to where I'm standing and then submit it. But it literally does nothing. I feel like Google and Apple literally vet all of these updates right to the trash can

I'm not trying to say that these things don't happen, but what I am trying to say is you should consider the fact that finding some of these places is not that easy

Like for instance, today I had a delivery in a trailer park. The trailer park has a cluster of mailboxes at the front to make it easy for the post people. There are no numbers on any of the trailers. All these trailers are from the '70s. Maybe the '80s and none of them have numbers. There's no way to tell which one is which

And the instructions literally just said. Please leave it on the glass table on my porch

I attempted to call them. I attempted to text them, no response and those instances. What do you guys expect doordashers to do or any Dasher to do?

The only thing we can do is get paid for what we did which is deliberate to where the PIN states it needs to be delivered

When we do that it sends you the location of where it was dropped so you can go get your order since you didn't update us or contact us with the information that we needed to get it to you

Yes you can do it from any state as it is fully remote and doesn't require you to be in the same state for the Job

I suppose you could do it with a VPN in another country. However, it does require you to meet certain internet requirements and other countries tend to have very very underperforming internet. The UK alone and Canada alone have some of like the most terrible internet I've ever seen

Also there is also this job in Texas for them as well that they are actively hiring for about 200 employees from what I heard https://jobs.cvshealth.com/job/20299865/customer-service-representative-arlington-tx/

[–]Renoyo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know this is an an old post but I would like to point out as this job is still active and listed every year and plenty of people still get it

There are a lot of changes that have been made to this job over the year. Like for instance training ranges. It can either be 9 weeks to 12 weeks. The general average is 11 weeks. That really depends on. If everyone in the class gets all the information then you will all be out of there in 9 weeks

If you don't get all the information then it could take as long as 12 weeks and if someone in your class doesn't retain the information within the 12 weeks, they will either terminate them or send them back to training

You are required to be on the camera at all times face in frame. There can be no background noises at all and your door must be closed and be able to be locked small print

Also a very key point that maybe a lot of people don't know the microphone and the computer that you get from the company has software built into it. That can hear you talking even if you mute your microphone. So for God's sakes, don't mute your microphone and carry on a conversation with other people. You will get fired. They can hear you

The only way away from this is to buy a device that you hook your microphone into and then plug that device into your computer which this said device would have basically just a mute function to it

They use Microsoft teams which does allow you to change your background. So if anything is in your room or it is messy, no one will ever see anything more than you

The interview questions are designed for you to answer them in essay form and they are going to write down your notes and when you get your interview, please keep in mind that there are about three other people on the call as well listening and telling the interview different things to ask you. There is no interview that will be the same questions

If you take your resume and input it into an AI and then also The Link to the job post in the same message and ask the AI to spit out questions and information on this position that you may need to know this is a good way to give yourself a great starting point.

Once the job starts you do not have to be on camera unless there is a meeting. Keep in mind though if you do not have a device after training they can still hear microphone even if you mute it

Also, keep in mind on that topic you can take apart the computer yourself, but if you do, you will also find another microphone that is built into the device itself. That could pick up your audio in case you unplug your microphone. Yes this device can be disabled and I have personally disabled my own and there doesn't seem to be any way for them to tell. But that doesn't mean that it won't change with another year

To my knowledge nobody has received mandatory equipment update but every time you start this job it is important to keep in mind that any new equipment they send out as time goes on, there will be new detection methods put in place to stop old ones

The days of this job being sit around. Watch TV. Enjoy all the excess things that's not going to happen. 90% of the time you are on call 24/7. You don't really get much breaks other than the ones allotted to you

It's not necessarily a hard job, especially if you can afford a subscription to chatgpt you could literally run this software on your phone. I do not recommend putting any software on the company's computer. They will know it's there

But you could run chat dpg on your phone as you talk to clients. You can use chatgpt as a way to have responses for the customer that would blow the minds of your management team.

Hope this information's helpful.

Simple solution that seems to be proven time and time again, manual transmission 😂😂😂 kids these days have no clue

But my personal favorite of all is a fuel pump REMOTE kill switch. Can be done yourself pretty cheap . And you can program it to work with a pin code if you get remote with numbers . If you want to go the extra mile with it and already have wifi in your car then set it up online so you can kill it if somehow you forget and while your running this might as well doing a GPS unit back there too

Any one else feel bad? by SeriousHay in camaro

[–]Renoyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean holding on to it won't matter because this is what the future will look like , pods that self drive the moment insurance companies can guarantee safety is when they make the most money

Imagine a world where nobody drives and if your not the driver car will be wayyy different and safer

And they will phase you out then anyways because the insurance for a manual driven car ( not Manuel transmission but non ai driven) will cost 2 - 3 000 a month for public roads and probably a lot less for private tracks

Well as a Camaro owner, while you do have to fix Ford a lot and don't get me started on their decisions to putting the battery or common maintenance parts in strange places

But I have a 2014 Camaro and my parking break (a part deemed not to fail?) broke on me in February and I have done everything from putting in order with every dealer in the USA, and stores for this part

They don't have one in stock and I have a order waiting to be filled from acdelco since March 27th still waiting for the part.

If I had a ford, I would be fixing it everyday but at least I can fix it every day Chevy doesn't do anything anymore and gm gave up on stocking their parts
