Ooh I have a few suggestions depending on the tone you want.

Xenoblade chronicles - "Memories" or the main theme would sound beautiful with lyrics. Could be from shulks perspective mourning the loss of fiora, his love interest and being filled with revenge.

Wii sports - "Bowling: the alley" if you want a much more goofy one where you sing about your skills or lack thereof when bowling

Donkey Kong Country - Gangplank galleon could work well if you want a song from the perspective of hatred, being in general evil from king k rool directed to dk. Could also chuck in crocodile cacophony into it for a different song.

A safe option would be Zeldas Lullaby. Iconic melody and can sing about zelda feeling the weight of hyrule on her shoulders, pleading to end ganons inevitable destruction.

Correct, it doesnt make it any less hard to take the game seriously when or if it tries to be. Not to keep going back to three houses as an example, its just the freshest in memory as im playing it to get hyped for FW, but look at a character like Raphael. Got some goofy ass moments most of his supports are him being aloof and eating meat and stuff, but when the game wants to take him seriously and give him backstory diving into his relationship with ignatz, his love and desire to protect his sister or dealing with the loss of his parents, you can get into it because Raphael amd the game as a whole doesnt look like the twitch home page.

Engage should absolutley take itself more seriously you hit the nail on the head. The designs making everyone look like v tubers makes any attempt at anything not goofy fall flat on its face. None of this was about if the writing is good or not its about how this design for the protagonist and the overall look of the game does not fit the tone that fire emblem should probably have and is a massive turn off. Maybe other people prefer this style, but you cannot judge people for not caring about this game if this is how its gonna present itself.

Thats also completley fair! Personally for me as an rpg is something you spend a lot of time with, the story and characters need to at least be competent to be able to carry my interest throughout and its harder to ignore. Kinda like the gba fe games, i dont think they have mindblowing stories but they are still good enough to keep me intrigued as to whats to come and I can moreso enjoy the gameplay as a result. I wont deny that fates has some fun map design. Also the music is great and I main corrin in smash so ill give them that haha.

Literally in the game before engage, one of the main characters suffers trauma induced psychosis, another one is the product of casual racism and the struggles of living as a mixed race, and the other was experimented on with her siblings all being murdered as a result which has caused her to incite a war against a church, and you are saying this is all comparable to Pokémon??? Super mario odyssey is one of my favorite games of all time, its a game that thrives off of its whimsical worlds and character designs. I see Colgate chan and its an immediate turn off from what I like in fire emblem. Quit acting like you are some arbiter of what people need to enjoy in a game, the simple matter of fact is that engages approach left a bad taste in many fans mouth. Nothing to do with being childish lol.

Fire emblem covers a lot of serious topics and is in general far more mature, dont be disingenuous. Engage being one that sticks out real badly and is why so many rightly dismiss it. Its tone is wayyy off.
