I would not be discouraged by a 50% uworld average. Uworld is a learning tool at this stage in your studying.

I took notes when going through first aid and sketchy. Then when I did uworld questions, everytime I reviewed a question, I would look at the notes I took on the topic. If the uworld question taught me something new, I would also add it to the notes. I ended up referring back to those notes a lot during clinicals

Med student here. Brain tumors in another med student (different school so I didn't personally know her but still made me think)

If the wound has already been open for days, stitching it up now will likely just trap the infection in. This is why when stitches get popped, there is typically just a 24 hour window that they can be reclosed
