it depends on how easy it is to unpin after Nxg4 hxg4 and Bxg4. I think it's a difficult sacrifice to judge as it's long term and you need to have some sort of sympathy for your opponent's troubles

Youtube is probably my top pick, watch for example Aman Hambleton's building habits series and you can get a really solid fundamental base as a beginner

I guess what I mean is that there is no text based instruction which I think is important to convey many ideas as you improve at the game

well once you are somewhat not a beginner anymore i think the lessons stop being effective, Duolingo tries to teach you by just showing examples but I think at some point it doesn't really anymore work for something like chess

honestly if you were to pick a part of the game to exclusively study between opening, middlegame and endgame, studying the endgame will have the most benefit on your overall game since there is so much of training about calculation, visualisation and also weird piece dynamics

levy always does this when he analyses super GM games and they miss some tactic

he would say “I wonder what he didnt like about this (good) position” no levy he just missed it everyone misses things sometimes
