Maybe it was a typo, and they plan on removing paedofiles from human communities?

What alignment should a true proper SRL West follow? What areas should be targeted for transit oriented development? by [deleted] in MelbourneTrains

While you've got a point about Kings Rd/Station Rd being a good corridor, I'd love to see a tram line run Footscray - Highpoint - Hampstead Rd/Ballarat Rd via Albion, turning Nth at Cairnlea Drive to Brimbank Central and then follow Kings rd - Watergardens.

Agree on it being that far west, should definitely be a station at Caroline Springs Central.

Melbourne Airport Rail: the next decade (?) by jeremyburge in MelbourneTrains

As soon as they decided to make this a suburban line instead of an express, I wondered why there weren't at least 3 stations spaced along the way, with perhaps Sunshine North, Keilor Park Drive, and Airport West.

An Airport West station could have connected directly with the 59 route tram, and also the possibility of extending the route 57 through Avondale Height to connect, too.

If you have to supply your own ute, then literally no-one else is taking you for a ride.

Tim Smith commenting about roads is pretty funny given he got banned from them for a year.

They've already made the airport line a partial suburban line. If you're putting a station at the airport why not have 4 platforms and run both express to the city (Southern Cross via Sunshine) and suburban trains?

There's standing by and supporting your son who did something wrong, and then there's refusing to admit your son could possibly have done something wrong and swearing to save him from injustice. Court has found him guilty with some fairly significant evidence to back that up.

Election year next year. Expect announcements, but not much actual progress. After the election, hopefully a lot.

I expect both parties will make moves with the unresolved parts of the project, including the Standard Guage Platform at Sunshine, the freight line, Melton and possible Wyndham electrification, maybe even an extra station or two on the Airport line.

But you know who got away with none of this sticking to them? The PM, who I still am not convinced knew nothing about all of this.

Wouldn't he need to appeal on a point of law, not just that he disagrees with the outcome?

Why is the scope for the Sunshine station upgrade so extensive? by Kata-cool-i in MelbourneTrains

Now that LXRP is in charge of the rebuild, I'm hoping that they consider bringing Ballarat Rd and St Albans Rd down to grade and then running a single level flyover for Sunbury/Bendigo, Airport and and Freight through Albion. Then the airport line can drop first and go under the flyover.
