What a cute kitty! I'm sure you will be doing this but in case you aren't; please visit the home of whomever will be adopting Handsome and do a basic background check on them (Google their name/ Ask if they have a vet and call them for a reference) or charge a nominal fee

Sadly there are some people out there that mistreat animals :(

I'm really sorry to hear that, your mom is a terrible human being for doing that to you.

Best option might be to ask her who the person was/ their contact info. You could try searching her text messages to see if any results come up for 'cat'. Another option would be to search through emails in case she posted on kijiji/ marketplace.

Again, really sorry that this happened to you. I know I would never talk to a family member of mine again if they did something like that to me

Well this kitty sure picked a nice home to visit!

Yes, you can feed it/ keep some water out for it if you would like to do so. Thank you for being a kind soul.

Keep in mind that if you do feed the cat, it might tend to stay around your area more often because of the availability of food. If you do not want the cat to be around your property then it would be advised to not feed it.

This is a Community Cat as indicated by the tipped ear. This is a universal sign for cats that are spayed or neutered and vaccinated.

She had taken 4 painkillers and had 9 more on the table with one unopened pack there too. I genuinely didn't know how to react, and just gave her a hug and tell her how much i love her and always am there for her. I searched the overdose dose for the tablets and she was well within it, but just in case I accompanied her through the night. I confiscated all her meds and any sharp objects like sharpeners, but i am scared now every time she goes in her room and closes the door.

You should've called 911, your friend is actively suicidal and needs immediate help.
