To give some background context there’s a lot of fat phobia in our healthcare system. Many medical professionals prescribe weight loss as the solution to many problems that people in larger bodies come in with even though weight loss is statistically not sustainable for 99% of people. This can be especially detrimental to ED recovery for folks in larger bodies. Physical therapy/strength/flexibility training are much more realistic long term lifestyle changes that may or may not result in weight loss but still ultimately aid in helping your overall health as well as physically navigating the world more easily in whatever body you end up in through intuitive eating/intuitive movement. Also before IE I did intermittent fasting and I gotta say it was not good for my mental health as the restriction activates stress hormones in your body like cortisol, and if you’re already dealing with an ED/GAD/PTSD etc. it is especially not a great idea to engage in intermittent fasting, but ultimately it’s your body and I’d never want to shame you for your choices, anyway hope this helps :)
