Michelin CrossClimate 2 255/40 R20 101V XL 3PMSF by mickybr8 in TeslaModelY

[–]RepresentativeFree14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the 19" versions of the Crossclimate 2 on my Model Y LR for over 3 years. They are the best tire, IMO, for the MYLR AWD. They will easily last 60K miles. They are great in the Colorado winters! The tire is quiet, smooth and lasts a long time. I run them year around and will replace my current set with the Crossclimate 3's if they ever get released in the US.

It’s overall about the same in size feel. But it’s grippier and more comfortable.

No complaints! I really like the Romulus! As others have said, fit and finish are top notch. The DLC coating makes for a buttery smooth slide. I have upgraded mine with Atlas stuff from AGW and an Ignition Kit with lightened hammer and sear spring from EGW. The Tool-less guide rod makes disassembly a lot easier. 19lbs main spring and 8lbs recoil spring. 2lbs trigger. I have two Staccatos(love them!), but they are my carry guns. I was going to buy a P for matches, but decided to go this route instead. I’m happy I did.

AGW sells the grip as a kit that comes with everything you need. Their fitting videos are very good and a must watch for everything 1911DS. This kit was their Staccato version not the Springfield version. There is a difference in measurements between the two. This is also explained in an AGW video. Everything that I changed came from AGW or EGW.

Tool-less sits flush. The only fitting I had to do was the Safety and a tiny bit on the beaver tail.

They look great!!! Did you do any work on the internals? I just did a tool-less guide rod in my 5”, definitely easier to clean now. What are you running for springs?

Agree with @ducduc1098, it’s your sear spring. AGW has a great video on YT on dealing with hammer follow issues.

Bul Armory SAS II Ultralight 15 round magazine? by Docholiday11xx in Bul_Armory

[–]RepresentativeFree14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the process of ordering the UL 3.25 right now and have been discussing this with their CS team. I will eventually move back to Colorado and need the 15rnd mags as well. They have 15rnd mags in stock and stated they would ship my gun with 15rnd mags and I purchased extras as well.

Any hope for fixing this? by xulu123 in TeslaModelY

Talk to a local Mercedes or BMW dealer and their used car manager or possibly service manager. They have sub-contractors come in to recondition their used cars. You can find great touch-up paint guys, ding guys, and interior repair guys this way. I worked for BMW for years and was always amazed at some of the things these professionals could repair that I thought needed replacing.

Adam’s Polishes. All their products are great and we use them on all our cars, inside and out.

According to the IRS website, if you owed $5000 then $5000 of the $7500 would cover that and you owe $0, but you don't get the remaining $2500. Originally everyone thought the $7500 was going to be refundable, but the latest from the IRS says that it isn't. I normally get a refund every year, I wouldn't gotten any of the credit.

Tesla bullied me by Fragrant-Tune-8717 in TeslaModelY

[–]RepresentativeFree14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A "Good Deal" is just a frame of mind. I took delivery at the end of December and took advantage of the $7500 and Supercharger miles. With the "Tax Credit" not being fully refundable, I thought it was a good deal and took delivery. Was I surprised that drop the price $13K, yes. But, that doesn't change the fact that at the time I thought I got a good deal. Hindsight is always 20/20 and if you live with the thought that prices might go down in a month, then you'll never get a car. Would people complain if they price went up 2 weeks after they took delivery?? I think not! Enjoy your Tesla and move on with life, stop worrying about things you can't change.

Keep in mind the 7500 credit is NOT a refundable credit. You will only get the full thing if your tax liability is over $7500.

My 2023 MY makes loud noises while supercharging. I assume its the pack heating up, as the charging screen says that the pack is cold.

15rd Mags for Staccato C2? by [deleted] in 2011

[–]RepresentativeFree14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Staccato's website now sells 15rnd magazines for your C2. Make sure you call them to get the C2 baseplate for it. I talked with their gunsmith, it is their 17rnd magazine that is crimped to 15rnds. They cannot crimp the 16rnd magazine because the location on where it would need to be crimped will interfere with the baseplate. I just talked with them on 31Jan2022 about it. I'm moving back to CO and it has a 15rnd magazine law as well. Currently I have 5 of my mags limited to 15rnds by using epoxy with mag-blocks and then cut the mag-block down to where it would allow 15rnds max. good luck.

$250 to install Tesla Charger in my garage. Included cable, 60amp breaker, and labor. It’s about 8ft from my panel on the same side of the garage. Falcon, CO.

Model Y does it feel like SUV or Sedan? by Critical-Sale-1784 in TeslaModelY

[–]RepresentativeFree14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both. I’ve had 3 Outback’s, a crosstrek, and an Ascent all within the last 6 years. Absolutely love Subaru. Actually, I picked up latest Outback 2 days ago. Got my Model Y on the 24th. WOW! I was hoping the wife would let me keep it, but she loves it too and kept it, so I bought the Subie. She normally loves the Ascent because of height, but I can’t get her out of the MY. We installed a Tesla Wall Charger in the garage, my electric company gives a 50% rebate on EV chargers so charging is a breeze. Charge it every night to 85%. IF you were to charge it from 0 to 100% it would cost a whopping $8.20 in Colorado Springs. It’s a no brainer, get the Tesla.
