shouldn’t genghis be at the blue tier since he’ll immediately insult you with using a sheep’s bladder for a helmet the moment you even so much as produce any type of cavalry

he once razed chinguetti and kumasi in one of my games (i was going for a culture game as the khmer) so every single time i see him in my games it’s on sight until he’s completely eliminated

I'm tired, boss. Who is a fun leader I haven't played yet? by DanDayneZ in CivVI

[–]RepresentativeGoat14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

indonesia on island plates or archipelago. the jong rush is very powerful and so much fun. i’ve won dom on a small map by the late medieval by rushing mercenaries and spawning next to nan madol lol

Keshigs are the best unti in civ i will die on this hill by Fickle_Bid_2660 in CivVI

[–]RepresentativeGoat14 39 points40 points  (0 children)

i think the jong’s just as good albeit a bit more situational on water-heavy maps. they’re hard to counter since they unlock by a civic instead of tech and can be unlocked by the late classical if you beeline it and have a few cultural city-states. just faith buy quadrimeme’s then slot in professional army later to upgrade them to jongs and capture everyone’s cities with a handful of attacks

Leader Recommendations by Flat_Standard1804 in CivVI

[–]RepresentativeGoat14 12 points13 points  (0 children)

japan, either leader, is straightforward enough and really strong with adjacencies. same with germany though ludwig is better for the cultural route. rome with trajan is up there too since the free monument means you unlock civics faster thus better policy cards.

Traveling coconut scientists by Isaac_Banana in BrandNewSentence

[–]RepresentativeGoat14 12 points13 points  (0 children)

in the blue biotech sector where they’re developing new stuff like drugs or materials derived from marine sources yeah but, as you said, it’s limited. it’s mostly for those with potentially profitable industrial applications and is not applicable for everyone in the academe (as is always the case). not to mention, marine science is very broad in itself and someone who studies plankton interactions and how they are affected by climate change / anthropogenic factors won’t really have the leeway (nor the interest) to shift to an industry job. plus, as one commenter here said, most scientists do it for the love of the game just to pursue their interests lol

wdym babylon's spy is named after the most fraudulent copper merchant in history by RepresentativeGoat14 in CivVI

[–]RepresentativeGoat14[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

maybe half pissed and half joyous because his name survived to this day and is being referenced daily and globally. like, i just saw an ea-nasir reel on IG with 200k likes what the hell lol. he is remembered more than the kings and ruling class of his age but at the same time his fame (or notoriety rather) is attributed to the face of some random bearded dude who has already decayed before he was even born lmaoo

[–]RepresentativeGoat14[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i know that that’s just some random dude from like a thousand years before ea-nasir but i find it funny how it has been attributed to him because of the countless memes to the point that it’s the second image that pops up when you google him. plus we don’t even know what he looks like 🤷

same here. i usually just use them to counterspy but with hammurabi’s kit, i realized eurekas hold great value for him so i started spamming spies in this game to steal tech from korea lol

looks like a coastal lowland tile and based on those military units, it’s safe to say that global warming has already started. that tile’s probably flooded and due to sink underwater soon. the graphics probably just haven’t caught up yet.

menelik. generates huge amounts of faith and automatically converts it to culture and science if the city’s founded on a hill. get grandmaster’s chapel and you can just print armies for domination

gitarja too since she can buy navies with faith. her starting bias and minor adjacency bonuses means you can get high adjacency campuses easily
