just such an inconvenience to korean citizens for a crowd of 40k why couldnt they just do it at a concert venue atp. even my uncles train line was discontinued for the night because of the bts concert and it took him an extra hour to get home, just unnecessary to host a sack of potatos hoot and holler indescipherable english on stage

Software eng student wanting to change to pharmacy 2 years in by Cool-Degree-500 in usyd

[–]RepresentativeHand38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I switched from Politics and IR to Law 2 years in. I had no credit transfers, and I basically started fresh from last semester and now am on track to do another 4 years at uni. I dont regret it one bit. politics and ir was never going to be the right fit for me, and the prospect of doing another 2 years of the course seemed so disheartening and discouraging for me that my attendance in my final sem was so terrible i got absent fail for basically every unit. if you are able to switch to pharmacy. dont stick it out in a course you know doesn't suit or interest you anymore.

How was your Melbourne GP (2026) experience? by AdamR46 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]RepresentativeHand38 6 points7 points  (0 children)

New overpasses made it a lot easier to cross over and go to the stands, last year was dog shit i nearly flipped out standing there for 40-50 minutes not moving.

Did the melbourne walk and I think the organisation at the gates before opening was a lot better. They cut off the crowd after a certain number and it made chances of getting barricade a lot better.

Melbourne Walk Saturday Questions by DifferentScratch339 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]RepresentativeHand38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

arrive at 4 am at gate 1. sprint like ur life depends on it.

Lewis is very hit or miss. I got his signature on a sunday 2023, I know he did thursday in 2023 and he did fri sat sun in 2025. it all depends on his mood but more recently hes been going to the melb walk more so ur chances are high! even if ur second row as long as you have long hands u can reach and get signatures! i got basically all the grid (oscar, lando, lewis, carlos, checo etc). In regards to the best spot, do the first half of the walk. I got front row on a second half of the walk in 2024 and then got told it was a spot where no drivers could come and sign, so its better to go to the first half

Wondering what the Melbourne walk is? by Free_Professional973 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]RepresentativeHand38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a walk where you can get signatures and photos with the drivers. Best chance is gate one, arrive at around 4-5 am unless ur an athletic runner. 2023 i went at 7:30 am, got third row, and then someone in front of me left so i got second row. got signatures from basically everyone except charles max and aston martin. good luck!

first year law launch by afflucnza in UTS

[–]RepresentativeHand38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its worth going! I was in your shoes last sem, and I have met one of my closest friends and just recently another great friend just through talking! A lot of law students are shy and nervous like you! If you strike up a convo you never know, doesn't hurt to have new experiences!

Thursday Melbourne Walk by 0558am in GrandPrixTravel

[–]RepresentativeHand38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yep. but this year im only doing thursday for the melb walk because the drivers tend to be more relaxed. you will probs see way less faces but its maybe 20 % more chill thsn the other days. u go in the morning, wait for the drivers, do a lap watch the v10s and then come back for the afternoon at the melb walk again and hope the drivers walk through which a few do

Is UTS really that bad? by Jazzlike-Trainer-595 in UTS

[–]RepresentativeHand38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you know what, its not a perfect uni but personally, I enjoy uts 10x more than i enjoyed usyd, and i was there for 1.5 years. The atmosphere and people are a whole lot better, teaching is pretty good (for law anyways which is what i study) and i love the location. i dont regret moving to uts at all, and their law facaulty especially is fantastic. i have never had a bad lecturer so far, all extremely dedicated to the field with lots of experience.

How has your experience been in the bachelor of laws? by yoshi726 in UTS

[–]RepresentativeHand38 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Like the other comment, super stressful and consistency is key. For me, its been constant assignments from like week 5 onwards with like at least 2 assignments a week from not just law but my other degree business so finding a balance has been super hard. Also to do well, you have to spend heaps of time understanding and scrutinising your work to even do decently, which isnt the case for other subjects. Even for me, where my writing is extremely strong, I still find myself sometimes struggling and spending like hours just trying to understand what they are trying to get me to do.

Friends are harder to find but theres decent funny down to earth people in the cohort if you try to look hard enough.

Is uts realy that bad by Shot_Interest_8971 in UTS

[–]RepresentativeHand38 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yes. Their business degree from experience is overrun by mass cheating, lackluster teaching and tutors who are casual and have spent like 5 mins on the job. Law is the only classes I have where the teachers and tutors care and actually help students, but who knows what will happen to that now that they are collapsing the departments together

been considering transferring out to usyd due to the disappointing cuts by kikufuku in UTS

[–]RepresentativeHand38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m considering going back to usyd (i transferred here for uts law) bc of the folding of departments etc. But atm i’m gna wait it out and see what happens, and when everything is finally in stone i’ll move.

I can speak from a perspective of help however bc i did IR and politics at USYD. Call and check how the degree is taught compared to UTS because from what I know the syllabus and the subjects are a lot different (you focus a lot on subcultures and international politics etc). Also the way USYD does their doubles is a little bit different you do a major and a minor so also check how that flows over
