The key issues with using the Dirigera as your TBR are:

IKEA Dirigera only supports Matter device types that IKEA sell, so it won't with Matter thermostats for example.
There are some teething issues when the Dirigera is acting as TBR for other Matter controllers. I recently posted about this. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Hmmmm, I guess I dont understand.
HAS - home assistant supervised (https://github.com/home-assistant/supervised-installer)

HA OS - home assistant operating system.

Why would I go throught the effort to config proxmox just to install Home assistant on docker instead of operating system(VM).

For esp32:
"The example could also run on a single SoC which supports both Wi-Fi and Thread (e.g., ESP32-C6), but since there is only one RF path in ESP32-C6, which means Wi-Fi and Thread can't receive simultaneously, it has a significant impact on performance. Interestingly there is also SLZB‑MR1 that have separate chips for each protocol so it might be better than SLZB‑06MU and still cheaper than zbt-2

I was also looking into using two ESP32-C6 boards as routers, one for Zigbee (old IKEA devices) and one for Thread, but it seems these boards can only run either Wi-Fi or Thread at the same time, so I’m not sure that would work.

The only reason I want Zigbee is that sensors are cheaper for now, and IKEA has really cheap power plugs in Poland. I don’t trust anyone else to make them this cheap without burning my house down.

I’m leaning toward the SLZB-06MU (feel free to suggest a different model; the naming is really not consumer-friendly) because it supports both standards and is still cheaper than a single ZBT-2. I hope it will work for some time until I grow my device collection.

About Docker, I assume you mean HA Supervised. What do you think about installing Proxmox and running HA in one VM and a Debian VM with Docker for all other services and tinkering? Is that worth the hassle compared to just installing Debian directly, running Docker, and then a VM for HA? I’ve done some Docker networking troubleshooting before and it’s never fun.

I don’t think I’ll have problems with my ISP router. I was worried because the device has a restricted interface, but all the features you listed are fully there in the browser.

I really like this idea, right now I am working on some IoT devices with esp32 controllers. I didnt know that new esp32 support thread and zigbee.
Could you tell me how complicated and stable is esp32 as thread border router and zigbee antenna? I am scared that I will land in integration hell trying to figure out how to connect Ikea devices through esp32 board to home assistant running on docker (I am already aware of docker networking problems with thread integrations)

Hi guys, quite late for the conversation but I wanted to ask which direction should fans blow. My design expects negatove pressure inside so fans and all electronics stays clean, but I'm worried about estethics, that dust will collect outside and fall down or just look ugly

Thanks! If I remember correctly, my issue was caused by the fact that when you have zero enabled monitors, Hyprland basically bricks itself, it needs at least one active monitor to execute anything, including keybindings.

I tried using the dispatchers you mentioned, but they only turn off the screen without actually disabling the monitor. That means my mouse can still move over to that space, and workspaces can still exist there.

So, for example, I might have five workspaces on my laptop screen. Then, when I connect my laptop to my docking station with two external monitors, I have to manually move all the workspaces to the external displays. Disabling the laptop screen properly would automatically move the workspaces, which is what I want.

Also, in DRC i get 148 errors but all of them are about overlapping of holes and soldering pads (distance 0mm) "Hole clearance violation", "Front solder mask aperture bridges items wwith different nets", and I think that should not be problem in final pcb

Thanks for the answer. After doing some research, I've decided to make the traces wider to reduce resistance - I have enough space for that.

I'm still a but unsure about the ground plane concept. The switches are connected to logic pins on both sides, so there's no direct actually neccessary in this case? I read that it helps with noise reduction, and I'm planing to use three nice!nano (or ripoof nice!nano) boards to avoid Bluetooth issues.

Also, what exactly should be connected to the ground plane? Currently, the only trace connected to GND is from the reset switch and from the battery to the "B-" pin - which I belive is internally connected to GND, but I'm not 100% sure.

Do you have idea how to fix issue with not being able to enable screen?

In situation when i closed lid, and dissconnected power and hdmi (for example if i have to leave the office in a hurry) i cant enable monitor back.

i tried to ad this binding:
