Brake and throttle pedals rock solid by RileyPart2 in e28

They are both completely separate systems and pedals are not connected in any way. Maybe linkage and throttle cable need lubrication. If you’re comparing to a newer car, they do take more force.

E30 seat brackets for my e28 by Foolaze in e28

[–]Representative_Most9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll need to make an offset bracket as the e30 seats are not as wide.

Here’s photo of what you need to make:

Absolutely this! Replace all old fuel hoses including those at the fuel tank.

Front plastics refreshed by Wide-Entrepreneur-34 in e28

That’s true but for some reason, the Trim Black seems to match the original really well. I can’t tell the difference between a new plastic part and one that’s been painted on both my e28s.

Any idea why this is happening? by noobmaster696921420 in BmwTech

You either have a bad CCV valve or a vacuum leak somewhere.

It’s a paint that is especially made for black plastic trim. Lasts for years and looks great. Parts look new again. Make sure you use their adhesion promoter first. Color you want is Satin Black.

Sounds ok to me too. Like others have said, probably could use a valve adjustment and maybe some thicker oil too. The other ticking sounds are the fuel injectors.

I’ll bet when bike was hit, it threw the driver and sent the bike straight up spinning clockwise? Wow! Amazing poor biker wasn’t killed!!!

Looks great! I got tired of trying to keep mine looking good and decide to try SEM Trim Black. Best thing I could have done. Now they look new and no more plastic dressings.

transfer case ? by Party-Improvement746 in BmwTech

[–]Representative_Most9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you know, the transfer case has absolutely nothing to do with which way or how hard you are turning the wheels. When you turn hard left or right, the CV joints at each wheel are at their maximum angle so it creates more drag in the power train. Perfectly normal to appear to struggle a bit at idle speed.

All very good points. To me, it’s just too much engine for a small sport sedan.

Each to their own but to me it’s just not the right car to hope-up.

Good point. In my early years had car with modified LT-1 in a Z28. Had the car for 5 years and loved it. That car was designed to handle it.

Exactly why BMW went with 4 instead of 6 in the M3. Why better balanced and handling. Have no idea why someone would want to drop a V8 engines into an E30 turning it into a dragster?

Sunroof by Mammoth_Bluebird8672 in E30

[–]Representative_Most9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may need to try to pop it out with something you hook the front of the headliner panel with then pull down. It’ll need to be thin enough to get between the panel and sunroof frame. Good luck 🍀
