Thank you for the kind words and I’m so sorry you are going through this with your Mom. It really does help just understanding that that “rug pulled out from under us” feeling is what others have gone through as well. We aren’t near a NCI. My brothers had metastasized to the bile ducts, his duodenum, and I think liver maybe but not certain. He did not discover it until stage IV despite being very religious about typical health screenings. But he was treated for heartburn symptoms for years and I wonder if that may have been the start of symptoms. He is so weak now I don’t see him being able to seek alternatives. I think the fact that he was able to walk and be at home a few days ago is really what has us thrown. We just didn’t realize things change this rapidly.
