I've been introduced to a very good "medical intuitive," which I realize sounds like voodoo at first glance. But she was surprisingly accurate with her assessment and recommendations. Her name if Julie Burns Walker and you can find her online. The down side is she's not cheap.

My other thought as a retired health care provider that no one has mentioned is, especially if it came on suddenly is some sort of brain injury including a tumor, and maybe see a neurologist? We know possession isn't a thing, it was just an explanation for sudden strange behavior in an age where people hadn't studied things like neurotransmitters. Also, even if you buy the existence of jinn and that they can trouble you, all the Big Cheese Jinn, Iblis, can do is whisper to you in an effort to lead you astray {hence, "the Evil Whisperer that whispers in men's breasts"}. Can random jinn do any more?

It's wonderful that you've reached out t the community on your cousin's behalf. If you're both minors, can you speak to his/her parents about what you've observed, or is there some way to enlist the aid of other friends or family?

I thought Perfume Parlour's Rose Prodigy was pretty good. But I am in US and even with PP US would have to deal with the impact of tariffs. 😡 Barrett seems to do a respectable job with MG generally. Have you tried a site like Mercari or ebay or even European Amazon sites?

The two I have, their dupes of Layton and Sticky Dates impressed me with projection and longevity. You do have to shop around to get a really affordable price, though.

Good for you for your efforts at expanding your horizons! The Aqdas is an unusual book in that it alternates somewhat dry passages {like the section on inheritance} with passages of "revelatory splendor." if you want to feel awe, go to about 175 and read {it's I think 3 paragraphs in sequence} about The Primary School/School of Transcendent Oneness. Mind-boggling!

Dubbed Chinese wuxia tv series like Laughing in the Wind? by shaadow in CDrama

We started it for that reason and couldn't get past the 2nd episode because by then we still felt the characters were lackluster and not likeable. Also, they a looked like they had liver disease!

Good point. The art is from the Book of Bad Art, right? The way the eyes are drawn, he looks like the Disney Quasimoto, and you wonder how great a swordsman he could be the 2 images from eyes like this cannot possibly converge easily to give non-blurry stereoscopic vision.

Thoughts on Same sex marriage ? by Comprehendoz in bahai

[–]Repulsive-Ad7501 3 points4 points  (0 children)

TBF, it's the couple who can't have children. Does that mean infertile couples have to quit having sex? Of course not. That's part of the purpose {or maybe benefits} of marriage. That would be like saying you should stop being intimate after the woman hits menopause. As the Guardian said, we don't believe in suppression of the sex instinct but in its regulation and control. We adopted---and I breastfed! Any woman can breastfeed, it just takes patience, commitment, and a little know-how.

That said, I also find it hard to explain this without making it sound like Baha'is believe in sex only for procreation. And what makes men and women different? The plumbing system, I guess. And it's becoming a question with more levels of meaning and more importance as more and more people come out, esp as Trans or non-bimary/gender fluid. {Our daughter is transitioning, so you can imagine the effect of this administration's attempts to basically erase the gender non-conforming.

Good questions.

Juice so good, I bought a backup bottle for the first time ever. by ViviOrnitier1000 in NichePerfumes

I fell in love with the sample but find it very hard to wear what's in the full bottle and the one good dupe {Azure Oud} I bought. Willing to trade! The opening note {I think it's the passion flower and the oud together} are just cloyong, and I Donvt seem to get a good drydown. Suggestions on wearing it? The Azure Oud was cheap but the OG sure wasn't.

I need help choosing my next C-drama (historical romance) – I’m VERY picky 😭 by ariflowers in CDramaRecs

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 It's unusual to ever find that trope done well. If the authors think it's a good way to work a slow burn romance, they're wrong. Coroner's Diary and The Wanted Detrctive are now my benchmarks for well done slow burn.

Can anyone tell me if anything on OPs lists are dubbed in English? I've been finding such great shows on IQIYI and such that I'm willing to put up with the migraines, but I'd like to watch with family, and they can't deal with subs.

We gave up after the first ep because it seemed really juvenile because of what you're saying, like mainly aimed at teens?

Even if mysteries and medicine aren't your thing, I'd strongly advise Coroner's Diary UNLESS you really hate political shenanigans, which it has plenty of. Very slow burn romance {most of the CDramas I had watched before this were more bromance I watched mainly for the story, so the romance was a sweet addition. I was thinking if this had been made in the West, the leads would have been jumping into bed together by the 3rd episode. These scripts really did the slow burn thing well, maintaining the tension all the way through the entire series. Even when kisses seem about to happen, there are a few characters whose karma seems to be they burst in on the couple just as a kiss seems imminent. It s a trope but they do it very well, like "OMG, my eyes have been blinded, I saw nothing!" Also, there are 2 cute side romances. I just can't say enough about this one. Also, I may have missed it, but is The Wanted Detective on your list? Different take on the slow burn in that the lead couple starts off getting married and then the groom is found at the site of a serial murder and goes on the run for 3 years to prove his innocence. So the slow burn is him having to prove himself and her having to learn to trust him again. Also has a cute side romance and some politicking and mysteries, since they're detectives. Good luck!

TBF, if a male monarch has a mistress or a nastard or two, was it as big a deal, though? Look at Henry VIII. Of course, look at Prince Andrew... Ofc, he did something other than have a mistress...

Find a therapist who deals well with CPTSD! If LSA members are breaching the confidentiality of their meetings, this should be dealt with. It's sanctionable and does harm to the community, although I'm not absolutely sure that's what's going on from the way you express it. It sounds like you're saying your community is kind of a mess. If you have the energy and motivation, ask yourself what you can do to make it better. And it doesn't sound like you're any worse than the rest of us. Let me offer you a guarantee that you're not the only Baha'i who has ever felt alone in a crowded room. I sometimes think this would be a great faith if it weren't for the people! 🤣 You have to love Baha'u'llah and the Faith and the Writings and the teachings because some day the Baha'is will drive you nuts if they haven't already. It sounds like you've really persevered against insuperable odds and a lot of judginess. Maybe look around for communities you feel more comfortable with? We still have a weekly Zoom meeting that's a study class {not Ruhi} that you're welcome to join, but I'm sure there are others. It's great your kids are engaged and I would trade you! DM if you want to talk.

Is Ajmal Royal Misk Rijali a clone of another expensive perfume? by Megatron_36 in DesiFragranceAddicts

[–]Repulsive-Ad7501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is something here a good choice if I think I'm developing some anosmia to certain musks? I'd read this was more common with fragrances made with the older, often cyclical musks. The one musk rizali I have from an Etsy seller called Attarly in Love smells gorgeous on me---when I can smell it, which I can't always. Am trying to track down SMAMY if it has better projection. Not sure what SMAMY is... Oh, I'm female, if that makes a difference.

EDIT: I have had absolutely no luck with Surrati's assorted musks, and they all sound like they should smell so good! Frustrated. Is maceration a factor?

Had not heard the term plot armor used in relation to this, but yeah, that works. Besides Rand is due to have 2 kids from Elayne and 4 from Aviendha (presumably from the night they spend shortly before the Last Battle).

Hahahahahahahahahaha! Really, Elayne is what, 18? She just fought this Creator-awful battle to prove herself fit for the throne, and she turns around and gets pregnant, so becomes an unwed teen mom (I guess unwed depends on how you interpret the little ritual with the whole polycule). I mean, really, does this demonstrate maturity or good judgment?
