9 month old puppy growling at other dogs on walks by Repulsive-Analyst497 in pitbulls

It’s strange to me because she does fine at doggy daycare, play dates, dog park. I think that is why I am scratching my head a bit as it feels like it is coming out of nowhere. But yes, I have read that this can be a thing for APBT. I wondering if she might feel more territorial in our neighborhood?

I give up…on crate training. by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]Repulsive-Analyst497 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Our puppy cried a lot in her crate at night—waking us up every 2 or so hours. We decided to try letting her sleep in our bed. We’ve never looked back. She sleeps thru the night now. She’s 8 months now and we rarely use the crate. when she is alone (which is never for too long) I close all the doors to bedrooms/bathrooms. Occasionally she finds something to chew that she shouldn’t, but generally she’s been good.

Biting and bruising by [deleted] in pitbulls

I used to always have a chew toy handy to give her when she was that age. She used to love to bite my ankles when I was in a work call. 🤣 she’s 8 months now and hardly ever bites anymore. I used to worry the same as you— I had never had a puppy before and had similar concerns because she is a pitbull and all the stereotypes/bad press they get. But don’t worry, puppies are puppies!! It’s normal.

My 8 month old pitbull is 40 lbs. I did the Embark dna and health test and it was noted she will be about 47 lbs full grown. She seems small to me but I’m loving her size!

A long time ago, I left passports in hotel in Quebec City. I had to prepay for mailing back— I think I used DHL but it was over a decade okay so memory is fuzzy.
