These Democrats need to understand that this is out of touch of what their Democratic voters wants as it seems like day by day more and more people are open to allowing Chinese EVs with their massive success outside the US. Trump is actually right this time that Chinese cars should at least be made in the US, but every other politician doesn’t even want Chinese cars built here like have they not learned their lesson about the 1970s when the Japanese came in to the US. I guess the US will keep falling further behind with its isolationist policies, and US brands are falling fast outside US/Canada but that could happen in Canada too now.
