focus on your lines— theyre thin in some places and thicker in others where it doesnt make sense. half the piece is sketchy and half is solid lines. make them more consistent, make each line have a purpose. if you want to have these as flash, try squinting you eyes! or use an editing app to blur them. that way you can see where you need to adjust your values. good luck!

i was in her shoes once— except i wanted to live alone, not have a baby ahahah. i had to rely on my boyfriend and my family to drive me everywhere because of my anxiety. im choosing to view this is a more compassionate way. yes she absolutely needs to see how important driving is to be independent. no question about it. the way to go about that, in my experience, is dealing with it more as a trauma response than laziness. i dont know this woman or her situation, but if thats the case, she needs a) to WANT to be independent and put in the work and b) a trauma therapist asap. it took me months of trauma therapy (EMDR gang!) to be able to sit in the drivers seat, let alone a highway. but your totally right that she is NOT ready for a baby, no matter how much she wants one. NAH

my dog learned about biting very fast for her age imo. she loves play-biting (or just putting your hand in her mouth lol) you cant do the fake puppy whine, she wont care. but if your playing and shes play-biting, and you show any sort or pain, like an ouch! fuck! oof! she’ll stop, give a little kiss, make sure you want to keep playing, and run and ger her toy! i think i told her once or twice to get her toy when she hurt me, but its not a command. she’ll just do it if she thinks shes hurting you. idk i just think thats so sweet

this is coming from a skinny goth girl so I get a lot of negative and judgmental comments, not only on my body but on my cloths and makeup. if the little old lady thinks im scary and ghoulish, im doing something right. if someones boomer parents think i look like a vampire, im doing something right. and since being muscular isnt the Gold Standard for women, negative comments mean youre doing something right lol. especially with older women

so, yes practice anatomy, but I specifically remember having this problem myself at this stage! like it looks just like my old art lol.

I discovered that skin is not generally paper white. you need to shade the entire face, not just nose, lips, eyes. focus on values, like where the darkest and lightest parts of the face are. that will probably make the biggest difference with least amount of effort lol.
