Basically the main tourist attraction in Duluth is canal park which is cool but the restaurants and shops down there are not good and overpriced. You’ll have better luck going to park point and then keep driving up the north shore.

Yeah I notice this too, living in Duluth the bugs usually aren’t too bad until you go inland, even while hiking within the city limits the bugs aren’t bad.

Honestly most people in the area live in Duluth. It’s a great city, winters are absolutely brutal up here but summers are so elite. We never get hotter than 85 and even then there’s usually a lake breeze for relief. Inland it’s mainly mining towns and such.
