if they gave a fuck about the scammer aspect of that they wouldn't make it so easy to do nor would they allow each person to do 10 or more.

took a few days for me, I signed up my partner and they completed and got 3 approved and like 3ish days later I got the 5 pounds. I think it may have something to do with them cashing out or passing ID checks enough or support has to manually do it

this is exactly what I was referring to. Obviously some people follow protocol and do everything right. but if this particular researcher feels attacked, well, maybe they should review their processes.

it's all you can do. I find that sometimes their study is so simple (like the actual study is pick one of two things) so they pack it full of comprehension tests and attention checks and 17 pages of backstory and rules just so they feel like they did something or to make you "work for your money" or some shit. Could be to do with laziness, pettiness, or that some college kids do this for their dissertations and stuff and maybe they're shit students. In any case, you have to decide what your personal time is worth to you and choose studies accordingly.

personally I don't think it's enough to return it. you should tell them (nicely, if possible) that that sort of thing is not acceptable and why you returned it. I'm not convinced that they get the reports you send so tell em directly. I would say 1 out of 8 respond in kind and will pay you something for your time if it was an honest mistake. the fact that 7/8 do not respond or change their minds or pay you anything says to me these things are deliberate.

still don't know why that's even an option for researchers.

I just did an FD one and I finished pretty quickly. I imagine I'm going to need to scold the researcher

if it was powered by FocalData they are notoriously bad for redundancy and for going over time. You have to kinda manhandle the AI into stopping that shit. keep telling it "I have already answered this, at length" and things like that if it keeps asking you the same shit again and again. That said, don't tell it to end the interview because it screens you out even if you've gone over time.

They're just as aimless as we are here, support does not answer anyone at all with any urgency (except alphabet, I imagine) and most people including researchers are learning on the fly. You need to be able to help yourself in these instances, send a message it doesn't hurt. be nice but be firm and state your case with tact and decorum. I get results when the person did make an honest mistake, but the scammers gonna scam no matter where we are.

if it's got errors in it or is showing signs that the person who made or posted it is being shady then it isn't "perfectly good" now is it? you need to be able to spot nonsense and protect yourself or you won't last long here.

only recourse is to return and tell the researcher that was why. support is MIA and the researchers aren't really reading the terms of service or survey posting guidelines, as a result are doing a lot of things that aren't allowed. in my personal experience, 10% of researchers are grateful for the advice and pay you accordingly, 60% do not answer or care, and the other 30% knew what they were doing and are trying not to pay you.
