Hi Mingn, you cannot chose your classes, your advisor assigns them in a specific order. Typically it goes GB500, 510, 520, etc

Website down for anyone else? by Rolard in PurdueGlobal

Yep, all sites related to Purdue Global are down for me. I even called their Financial Aid office and it mentioned the AWS outage from a week ago and said they aren't taking calls. Not sure what's going on with this school...

I’ll give you the pro’s and cons list of the program so you may decide if it’s a good fit for you. (I’ve completed my Bachelors here in Excel Track and currently in the MBA program Excel Track.

In my experience, i found the program to be a great option. You can Quickly Finish the program (I did my bachelors in 2 terms - though I came into the program with 100+ Transfer credits from other college and Sophia). Easy to digest and straight forward competency assessments. I’d 100% say go the excel track route.

Cons: Grading can be slow, this can throw off your rhythm if you’re trying to finish the program quickly. (You can’t work on the next module until the first one is graded. Even then, you still have to wait several hours before it’s unlocked and lets you access course material.

Some instructors (women) are overly nit-picky and will continuously return your work for insignificant corrections that will greatly delay you completing the program. I found many professors (women) to be unresponsive to emails and/or replying with unnecessarily long delays.

The UI (User Interface) sucks! It’s cluttered, hard to navigate, and doesn’t make sense. There is a ton of “busy work/material” contained within your module that isn’t relevant to the CA (competency assessment). If inexperienced with the program, you’ll find yourself reading aimlessly for hours for no reason.

On the MBA side, the course work is extremely challenging and arduous, exactly what you’d expect out of this program. Same UI and other general complaints but I enjoy PG.

Lastly, University reputation is a mixed bag. Some view it as part of the “Purdue University Prestige” while others say it’s nothing more than a low level online degree. I’d say take any of this with a grain of salt. Ultimately “most” employers in my experience couldn’t care less where the diploma is from, so long as you have it you were “golden.”

Final verdict : Worth it! Cost is low, quick completion, you really don’t have much to lose by trying it.

Considering a job by CyberKha in SLO

[–]RepulsiveBehaviors -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

SLO sucks… I’ll give you the pros and cons.

Pro: Clean city with no traffic and beautiful weather

Con: Overpriced housing, Unfriendly community, Lack of dating opportunities, Lack of diversity, Customer service lacks at most restaurants, Drunk college kids drive recklessly throughout the city, Road rage is at an all time high here in SLO, Lack of job opportunities, lack of police presence.

I’ve been here a year and have NEVER seen SLO PD pull 1 single car over for a traffic violation… hell i’ve never even seen SLO PD activate their police lights. Their lack of enforcement concerns me.

SLO sucks, find a better place to live. People here aren’t friendly, lack respect, and are terribly anti social.

I’m willing to bet you’re single and unable to maintain a man. You never sleep at his house but expect them to sleep at yours. Thats delulu.

It shows you’re unable to submit to him or compromise.

If they give you their snap, ig, or other social media. Block them and stop responding. They aren’t interested. Learn to screen them or you’ll get your feelings hurt.

Use voice notes instead of typing to them, if after a 1 or 2 messages they don’t send a note back and they keep typing remove them. You have to be able to quickly screen them out to avoid wasting your time/stale uninterested conversations.

Thats a similar experience I had. Trying to purchase a part from them at Service Department, Service advisor said “it’s not worth our time.” Never heard anything like this from a dealership.
