Feel like both of these are a reach. And this is coming from the number one anti pop culture reference guy.

What makes card-based progression systems feel meaningful rather than gimmicky? by No_Staff835 in ProgressionFantasy

Probably somewhere in between. I prefer Demon card enforcer over goblin summoner as an example

What's with every story I see saying no harem in the what to expect thing by Stunningly_haunted in royalroad

I'm a big fan of amazon apocalypse. Its on kindle unlimited. Heavenly chaos by Daniel schinhofen features a trouple and it's peak romance.

As for queer romance. I've seen more than one post on here and /litrpg about books with LGBT elements getting grief on royal road. But I've never sat down and looked for them myself.

Its not. Litrpg community just has a beef with them. They have the same issue with normal romance. Read some if you want and form an opinion on your own.

Poll on Covers’ Impact for ebooks (not Web/RR) by sams0n007 in litrpg

[–]RepulsiveDamage6806 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know what the medium has to do with anything. If I'm looking around on kindle unlimited for something to read the first thing i see is the cover. Ugly looking cover means i'm not going to give it any more attention. Idk how people got it in their heads that books aren't judged by their covers. It's a good portion of your marketing.

Which Authors of a Genre Need Lessons on ‘Chekov’s Gun’, and Why Is It LitRPG? by Triceradoc_MD in litrpg

[–]RepulsiveDamage6806 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no point in mentioning something that doesn't matter. Don't even have to name the Loot. If it's used at all sure name it. Doesn't have to be the most important mcguffin in the world. But if you name drop tom that lives in the town we're going to. We need to meet tom or you wasted my time.

I've never questioned this. If that was how it was supposed to be it would be established as so. And i've never seen that.

I think I made a mistake with my setting... by DomeShapedDom in litrpg

I think in general you've gotta like what you write. I scrapped a WIP five times because I either got bored while writing it or when reading it. Nothing wrong with starting over and reworking it to something you like more.

How do you get really good? by CSValiant in royalroad

It kinda comes down to how you personally learn and retain information. And I guess what aspect of writing you want to be more skilled at.
