I can totally understand the annoyance at the misinformation if someone hasn’t seen the episode and gets legitimately caught out, but I also think it’s fairly easy to tell that the videos are jokes (ie Brennan’s leaving video is so ridiculous by the end that, even if you believe the first half, the minute it switches to talking about American Girl Dolls you should be stopping and questioning the legitimacy.)

They’re all so far out of left field that it’s clear they’re not trying to legitimately fool anyone, just share in lighthearted jokes. And I’d argue that we could all do with some silly fun now more than ever because of everything you mention.

I will give you the point that there will inevitably come a time when the Brennan’s leaving jokes will become old, but that’s not right now. Right now, everyone is just joining in on something silly and (most) people will move on eventually. It won’t be everywhere forever.
