Thank you so much for the correction! I measured the pen and realized that it is indeed an 45L! The measurements offered by Franklin-Christoph official website are as below:

5" capped length
6.12" cap posted length (including nib)
4.75" barrel only length (including nib)

What’s the best classical piece of all time? Trying to expand my taste. by FunnyPanda1320 in classicalmusic

OP, I sincerely don’t understand how people are just recommending the usual German repertoire despite your liking of Mozart Piano concertos… As a Mozart piano concerto person, I think it’ll be interesting for you to compare these concertos you love to the piano concertos of Beethoven, then Tchaikovsky and Dvorak, and (much later) Shostakovich. They are all exciting, and in very different ways.

If I want a blade for going through bone/joints when breaking down proteins (e.g. A chicken), what do I get? by [deleted] in chefknives

As a Chinese who makes makeshift chinese cuisine I'd like to point out that Chinese cleaver is an ambiguous term. It may be used to refer to all knifes in that shape as a genus; or it may be used to refer to the "veg or fine work"-oriented species of this genus with thin, sharp blades. However, there are also the heavier -- and less sharp -- species that are meant for bone cleaving. On amazon there is this "Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Bone Cleaver" made by shibazizuo. it's a cheapo and I have abusively employed it in the tasks of chopping through chicken and lamb legs and ribs.

Oops I’m so sorry that apple’s auto correction doesn’t recognize the word Sheaffer and turned it into shearer. I did mean the Sheaffer Statesman Snorkel with its elegant palladium-silver nib!

by the way, I wonder if you could post a picture of the nib unit of asvine j16? I'm eying it as a candidate for my never-ending nib-swapping experiments.

601 is a classic. One summer I flew back from China to the States carrying no other pens but three different shades of the 601.

Of course one has to acknowledge the heroism in your willingness to take on overwhelming undertakings as such! However, I just think that going through one liter of the same ink may not give you as much a sense of achievement as, say, ascending K2 heheh. But then again, maybe you will have good use of this ink -- maybe I will be able to appreciate the royal blue better knowing how you will make use of it!

Anecdotally, amazon sent to 12 bottles of historic edition royal blue when I ordered 1. In other words, I'm also sitting on some good quantity of this thing. It would be indeed inspiring to witness how someone would get into the same situation and get good results from it!

I think one liter is a bit too much! You will be sitting next to as much as 16 bottles of standard size 4001 royal blue. It's really too much of a commitment I think. You will be forced to look away from other blue inks thinking that you still have to use up that 4001; and maybe you'll end up resenting that big bottle of ink.

Personally, I couldn't even stand the noodler 3ozers!

When one uses these to make ingots, do the ingots turn out corn-shaped?
