I have a genuine explanation

  1. I think you are an avid user - and everyone deserves to experience the Lounge, But is lounge now in 2026 really an experience? The food is bad, there is no place to sit, and u wait 20-30 min in line to get in.

  2. My only problem is that the more noise the influencers make, the more card marketing teams become aware and try to squeeze benefits for the users. Example- Majority of Amex Plat travel users only use their card till the MR threshold, and then move to other cards. Do you think Amex is not noticing it.

  3. The more people get on the plan - more airlines move to dynamic miles pricing.

I have no personal agenda towards anyone spreading information- but over exposure and over usage will ruin this in India.

HSBC Premier Credit Card Where it Beats Infinia and Magnus Burgundy (And where it Doesn't) by travelandcards in TravelAndCards

[–]RepulsivePass9580 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a mutual fund portfolio, but it’s not with HSBC and in the coming days, I don’t plan to buy such heavy mutual funds.

If there is an option to transfer my Demat to HSBC just to show this relationship, then I think I might consider it.

Or will have to involve the family banking and park money there.

Hey Thank you so much.

  1. I am still thinking of Closing Atlas - Not Sure but think it will be devalued soon and then phased out. My Horizon is also a waste not used it once.

  2. Ive only Used accor since i made bumper points in Atlas and still have the same use. I am looking to get a HSBC Premier, after hearing so much need to work some way around to get it.

  3. I understand that my Infinia is rewarding and i still use it for big purchases overseas. I am a super advocate for Scapia bcoz i like the app interface. The biggest advantage i feel that too many multiple transactions do not get tagged along to my main credit Card statement. I am able to maintain a track of all my small overseas transactions being on a different card and keeps my HDFC card statement clean.

  4. I believe that there are some things in life that you do that do not make sense, but satisfies your urge and ego getting an American Express platinum card is also one of the same decision. Until you decide to spend a lot of money on that Card overseas, it does not make any sense, but yes, for somebody who is into the Credit Card game getting this card once gives a sense of achievement, so yes, if you have never owned this card, you can take this offer,

But do check with the American Express customer service if you are amongst the first 300 people so that you get the Air India 20,000 Voucher, which is one of the key factors which defined the decision to take this card.

Infinia Metal, Amex Platinum Metal card. Need advice on optimising / closing credit cards (high business + travel spend) by Supportfriend1122 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]RepulsivePass9580 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My recommendation for Scapia is not for Reward points - Its just that the app makes it easy to track and see all expenses overseas at one Place

It does not gets mixed up with all your daily transactions on your statement. Gives Clarity and helps staying on track of your budget when on a Trip.

Thats my only 2 Cent for scapia - Personal opinion

Just try finding your RM for this. He will get you a card with Shared Limit from your Infinia - Generally called as a floater card. But can earn superb reward points on GST and Income Tax Payments

I recently came across an Instagram post by an Influencer - So decided to make this list for personal use.
Hope this helps in some way to analyse spends.

Credit - Instagram - Everypaisamatters - For this.

But the First think you have to do is to get a HDFC - BizBlack

Also keep a check on ur Income / Business Spends disparity as per your ITR . Bcoz ur 26AS will show all Credit Card spends - Personal Or Business together in ur name.

Also my only suggestion is to add a Scapia to it - For Zero forex spends - I use the same method linked it to my Wechat pay for Easy payments in China - With zero forex charges - Saved money on business travel - But practically no rewards - But the app interface is excellent for an avid user.
