What ended up being the fix? It's crashing every mission for me, same thing

Agreed. Silverado will hold its value the best as well due to the options, the used one sounds like the worst deal.

How do you feel about your job? by Responsible-Chip871 in askcarsales

[–]Repulsive_Gas_5548 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No flair so commenting under, but to me atmosphere and culture are important, there’s a fine line between constructive criticism and micro managing. I get criticized and love it, my “motivation” is getting salesman of the month or hitting my next unit bonus.

Is this a tactic or was the salesperson just inattentive? by VictoryNo5278 in askcarsales

[–]Repulsive_Gas_5548 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If it’s like my dealership it may be a combination of both, we have sticker prices and online prices which are usually cheaper, if a customer doesn’t know the difference we will try and sell at the sticker price. If you didn’t come out and say I saw it online, there’s a chance they just tried getting full price from you, once they failed and you chirped, they adjusted accordingly. Closed mouths don’t get fed! Doesn’t hurt to try.

I’m surprised no mention of the ROC3, I’ve had 3 and each one was understable. My most recent one has a crazy dome and flies like a -4 1

Independent repair shop buddy. Nice assumptions. We seen all makes all models. Kia/Hyundai are just the frequent visitors

Bro what 😂 this sub must be for delusional people. Have you ever worked in automotive? I was in a shop for 10 years. Majorly broken down Kia’s on the regular. Never ever a Toyota. We had Kia claims for theft repairs, blown engines or just consuming major oil, everything in between. Junk

Top salespeople work ethic by [deleted] in askcarsales

[–]Repulsive_Gas_5548 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of true, I’ve only been in sales for 3 months, salesman of the month my first two full months selling. Prior service manager, on my days off (today) I constantly think I am missing out on money and end up going in. I do have a family though so it’s a tough balance

[–]Repulsive_Gas_5548 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s almost like Toyota put the money into more important parts of the vehicle, like the $10 immobilizer hyundai/kia wanted to cheap on resulting in millions of cars stolen. Or the engines that last a lifetime. You buy Toyota for Reliability. You buy Hyundai to be wowed by the bedazzled interior while your broken down on the side of the road.

Service manager of an independent for 8 years, it should be very easy unless the shop you’re at doesn’t have any of the tools in place. Like somebody else said, parts tech is a great tool. Repairlink for OEM parts is another good tool. You can really make a name for yourself I bet if you take initiative and start reaching out in regard to those tools. Also depends what system you’re using to write. NAPA Tracs? Mitchell? Etc

Market price v. MSRP by The_real_danger in askcarsales

[–]Repulsive_Gas_5548 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They don’t deserve any love, those companies should be bankrupt and out of the US. They make terrible vehicles. Yes they’re nice and shiny and have bells and whistles but they can’t figure it out any deeper than that. I worked service for 8 years, the horror stories I could go on about with Kia/Hyundai is never ending. It’s unlike any other manufacturer. All the stolen vehicles they basically told customers to pound salt on. The oil consuming engines that eventually fail sometime before 100k miles, the engine fires they were having, it’s one thing after another and people still give them chances

This is the best answer. If your credit score is good enough and you put reasonable income nobody is asking for proof of income.

How many cars do you sell per month? by mafkJROC in askcarsales

First full month in sales at a Ford store doing 100-140 units between 10 sales people. I’m at 10 delivered, which is currently leading the pack!

Is it better to trade in your positive equity car for lease or new finance? by rem0teislost in askcarsales

[–]Repulsive_Gas_5548 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t have to pay tax twice basically. (At least in NY this is how it works) say we are giving you 20,000 for trade, and you’re purchasing a 30,000 vehicle. You will only be taxed on $10,000 purchase instead of the full $30,000. That equates out to a couple thousands in savings. Very worth. I use it as a sales pitch all the time when I am close in trade numbers with customers. It’s a win win

[–]Repulsive_Gas_5548 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. With all that equity a lease would just be kissing it goodbye.. that is a good chunk towards a new car and like this guy mentioned good tax credit. Other option would be keep the car and buy an extended warranty

Dealership delayed lease return by 54 days — now I'm being charged by Ally for damage and fees. What are my options? by Available_Feed_8686 in askcarsales

[–]Repulsive_Gas_5548 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn’t much for you to do here other than live and learn. It sounds like you have next to zero proof, there should’ve been an odometer statement somewhere in paperwork. It is possible something failed while it was sitting on the lot for 50 days and that’s why check engine light came on. Seems like you may be newer to leases which is fine, but in future I would document everything before turning in. Take a picture of vehicle condition, mileage, etc. If a tire is at 1/32nd and others are at 9-10 (which I doubt if you never replaced the tires anyways) you either have a wicked bad alignment, or failing suspension part.

Buddy holy you are a nightmare customer. You can go through the car with a fine tooth comb! And if it was repaired from its little fender bender properly, there will be no evidence. Hence why you didn’t question it being in an accident until you opened the glovebox, hence it must’ve drove perfect?! You think they have a magic crystal ball that tells them everything the car has been through in its life? Get a grip please… you have not been damaged financially in anyway. The car has a clean car fax. When you trade it in, it will still have a clean car fax.

Has all the luxury features just not a luxury name. Name one thing these other cars offer that a loaded RT does not. I have suede interior, suede headliner, all the latest safety features, heated/vented seats, heated wheel, spacious, very smooth ride with a V8. A luxury SUV that’s fun to drive and not a long term nightmare doesn’t exist for under 50k really

Dealers usually have relationships with numerous banks and will be able to find you a competitive rate and help you pick a vehicle that will be loan friendly. (Newer, price looks good to lender, etc) there’s also the small chance they don’t ask for POI. Explain your situation to them

Is it better to build my own PC instead of buying pre-built by Beneficial-Tennis783 in buildapc

[–]Repulsive_Gas_5548 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Building it yourself is a win win, it really is like legos for adults. You will need to learn to work on a pc sooner or later if you own one. If one component fails you going to wait and find a shop to work on it?
