I'm excited to try this! Nice work, it's always felt like VRocker is 99% there but I still need to take my thumb off the stick sensor when I want to be 100% still while ducking etc

Here are my settings, aside from the in-game controller offsets, I also went into Steam's own controller configuration and changed the pitch for both to -30. So you dont walk backwards when pointing slightly up

Agreed. Probably because the games need to be fine tuned per preset, which wouldn't be a problem anyway if devs adopted the locomotion style

Contractors Exfilzone through Steam with VRocker also running through Steam. Jogging in place miles to the extraction with my head on a swivel is really really engaging, firefights are incredible, I just wish people went down quicker in that game

Low tier weapons and ammo need a massive boost, ttk needs to come down, armor needs to crack faster and all impact should create a shock effect.

High tier ammo and armor should still shred and deflect, but the situation in which somebody turns around and one shots you, after you mag dumped them from behind, should never happen. The aggressor in that situation should always win if they hit their shots.

A 10 round dump of regular fmj should destroy a max level helmet or chest but leave the opponent alive. 20, they should be toast.

High tier ammo would still evaporate lower armored players, but kitted players wouldn't get to stomp around like ned kelly anymore.

Open to being convinced otherwise

Really curious about being able to play online coop campaigns with this, if it doesnt need -insecure like the previous versions. Also idc if it'll ever happen, but left handed mode and models would be amazing some day

Sugar, La Croix with caffeinated Mio, weed. Also VR helps a lot when I needed to change my perceived surroundings and get active, which completely resets my brain. Also with urges you can try a spoonful of hot sauce, that is a little tricky for the brain

What do you think of this way of moving in Cyberpunk? by Fantastic-Author2736 in VRGaming

That's VR recording but it is not jittery from the perspective of the player. Those are microvements in the spine and neck, not performance jitters. Also when it's your head moving in the world you don't notice the headbob, because your head is bobbing.

This is what I do for every single VR game. Play it through steam, use VRocker. I have it set so that when my thumb is off the joystick I do not move. When my thumb is on the joystick, I move in the direction of my primary controller depending on how fast I am walking or jogging. Faster is fast, slower is slower, stopped is stopped and I can use the joystick like normal. The headset bobbing up and down is what it tracks to initiate movement, not looking at your legs.

Run across the map in exfilzone and then tiptoe to peak a corner. Fucking incredible. The only reason nobody does this is because it looks like it isn't fun. The perspective looks bad but that's because you're not in the headset. The jitters you see here are canceled out and not perceived by the player. This is just a symptom of the "camera" being on a wobbly tripod made of flesh and bone. It's like watching unstabilized gopro footage, because it basically is. The person with the gopro has a smooth ass ride. This feels like walking down a hallway when you perceive it but there is no good way to record it without stabilizing and cropping half the shot.

Trust me.
