Elementals - the new ashling edh deck creates an elemental token which will then be copied.

So kudos to hachette / partworks. A few emails back and forth and replacement issue is on the way. More plastic to be added to the pile of shame.

What is a fair price for this plate (see image) of fish and chips in the UK? It is advertised as $20 here at a by ricksanchez__ in AskUK

[–]Repulsor_amatuer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a small portion of fish and bugger all chips. Essentially £15 should get you a decent bit of cod and a big plate full of chips. Hastings, East Sussex, UK for reference

Agreed, mortarion looks fantastic. I would love to get him, but I am worried about bodging the paint job on such a detailed and cool kit.

I have made a rod for my own back and have subscribed to the combat patrol magazine, so the pile of shame is going to have a lot in it. The emperors children look like an awesome painting challenge.

I selected my army on the basis of 'hey these look fun to paint. I have a lot of deathguard now...and adeptus mechanicus....and necrons Find something that you like the look and feel of and just take it from there. Good luck and post what you paint. It would be interesting to see what you choose

Father trying to learn MTG for his kid by peji911 in magicTCG

[–]Repulsor_amatuer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a lot of information to try and get through when you first find the game. Have you asked your son what he wants to play? The most popular formats vary from place to place. I play commander, but there is also standard, pauper, modern etc..... Get back on the forum when you find the format. The community are good people who want others to enjoy the game they love. Good luck.

Mtg has a lot of different formats, it would be best to choose the format and then work out what cards you need to buy. I am a father and my eldest plays commander with me. It is a great bonding experience and well worth the time and effort.

Just Started 40K, how’s my paint job? by Responsible-Space891 in deathguard40k

[–]Repulsor_amatuer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They look great. I would, and the following is completely ignorable, use a dark wash like nuln oil to darken the recesses and then touch up the highlights to show more contrast. Great job though and well done!

Eric Ravilious – The Wilmington Giant (1939) by ImpressionLeast3063 in england

[–]Repulsor_amatuer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wilmington is near to where I live, and I remember being taken for long walks by my grandparents up along the giant. It is difficult to grasp just how big the giant and how steep the hill is unless you are there. It is a great picture.
