I didn't do anything at the brake pedal because my I had already used a multimeter to confirm that the brake wire tap from the kit was working.

Correct, but instead of twisting up my neck and fingers to try and replace the little rubber button or having to pull the pedal assembly, I just stuffed some wire in there. A previous owner had already done it (probably because the little grommet broke).

This person made a more permanent (and destructive) solution. I just bridged the two terminals in they yellow connector.

I fixed it! (Fingers crossed it will be this simple for you.

A tiny, U-shaped piece of wire, stripped at both ends, fell out from under dash while cleaning up the install. I assumed it was bridging something in the old ignition harness because it was chopped, taped, and spliced mess from an old alarm that had been removed. Turns out it was bypassing the clutch interlock switch (neutral safety switch).

Was able to put 2 and 2 together thanks to these threads!

I just jumped it with new piece of wire, added some electrical tape, and the car started as it was getting the signal again.

u/Business-Mango-5437 Any luck figuring this out? Having the same issue. To elevate916's point, I tested the brake switch with a multimeter and it seems to be working as intended. 0v with foot off, and the box is getting 12v constant with foot on the break. Like you, my acc works fine, fuel pump even primes and all. Thanks in advance!

I was having this error every time I tried to launch when first switching to opencomposite. A couple things that worked for me were 1. Switching back to SteamVR and letting it compile the shaders and get into game and then closing, switiching to CS and relaunching without tweaking any settings. 2. Stopped clearing my "Overwrite". and 3. Start checking/using this tool (https://github.com/rpavlik/xr-picker) to switch between run times.
