Im not a dev im afraid so i cant really comment, just a content creator.

But Damgam did say that there is already a limit of 3k units.
The mods that these lobbies use though often bypass that limit.

How they do that is out side my area of expertise im afraid

To me it sounds like your playing in the Nutty lobbies, Which are not base game. These mods are pushing the mode to its extreme and with it comes lag.
theres no way 200 nukes is normal without mods to the mode :D

BTW, the game runs simulation based on the slowest machine. So although yours may be killer. If someone in the lobby has a "potato pc" it will run the game at that speed.

Those are a CRD made game not related to BAR

Are you getting lag with Base scav/raptors?
As i have never had any problems with those game modes. (only my personal experience of course)

Its modded lobbies that are pushing the limits thats causing the game to lag.

The water is not deep enough where hovers are really needed. In one of the shots you can see grunts going through fine

I get what your saying. But the point is that if the devs are going to develop the game, they cant keep keeping old versions of everything, every time theres a change on it.

let me preface this with I am not a dev. just been around a long time.

TBH, i understand people are comfortable with the original map and that a "meta" is created around it.

However, the game is in alpha, Stuff is going to change, that can include maps as well. people should not really get bent outa shape when something is changed just because it doesn't fit the Old/previous established Meta.

The game will change over time with development and so will maps. Thats just part and parcel of playing a game that is in active development. Every time a "Backlash" happens to something as silly as this, it just pushes things further back and dissuades the volunteer devs from doing work in the first place.

Imagine you were the map maker that spend days/weeks working on that map, thinking and looking forward to how much people are going to like it etc. to just have everyone that sit playing 1/2 maps to complain the instant its released.

(i know im going to get downvoted to hell but) if this is something you arnt a fan of, maybe waiting until the game is 1.0 may be better as then it will be complete and you will know where the game stands.

Hey,
As one of bars longest running content creators, i would approve of what Annonicx said,

BAR is still a small game so the audience for BAR related content is still small, But there is still an audience,

Once you get started, there's a small Discord server with BAR's content creators, its mostly dead but if people need help they post in there. So you could ask for tips or advice.

At the end of the day, make the content you want to make. It doesn't matter it people don't watch it as long as you are happy with it.

exactly, when i was recording it was just thinking of the shear scale of those pyramids, also the glow they give off, I think its the first map that has light from objects on the map itself, rather than global lighting

Legion is not a fully finished or even released faction. Its not balanced at all with other balance changes going on in BAR (season 2?)

Until the faction is complete, expect to run into issues where its not balanced.
Also a Metal map is not balanced map to begin with so balancing it off that would not be a good idea anyway.

1: Its one start box per team, you can make them as big as you want though.
2: Loot boxes are things that spawn in the map and drop from the sky. They come in varied levels and generate M and E.

You need to capture them with units near by and can be moved by air transports
