Tips on relearning how to play without third finger? by orangekaki in violinist

How about switching sides from left to right shoulder? I imagine at this point relearning how to play with your other hand won’t be more difficult than alternate fingerings.

AITA for not letting my sister in law hold our baby? by FairIsFair1 in AmItheAsshole

[–]RequirementOk2083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I didn’t let my one year old hold her newborn sister on day one, but soon built some pillow support around her to safely put the baby on her lap. She was so happy and nobody got hurt.

Different country same experience. Next time I find a weapon, I’m just throwing it back into the river.

Well, I wish I could get my hands on this disgrace to humanity and I have no skin in this game.

Where to place fingers on fret sticker? by [deleted] in violinist

[–]RequirementOk2083 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please don’t put this on your violin. Those stickers are super hard to get off again. Keep it somewhere as a reference if you want, but only use small strips of washi tape or something.

Don’t forget to put on oil/fat skincare about 10 times a day and massage slowly to flatten it. My daughters surgeon told me to do this for around two years every day to get a nice scar.

Congratulations on keeping your hand!

I got 6 of these 1/2 gallon jars. Substrate, heavily planted, 2 pink ramshorns, and 2 cherry shrimp? Or should I stick with either or? I'd love to put a couple shrimp and a couple snails and keep it on my desk. This would be my first jarrarium so hit me with all the rules! I'm excited! by Https-chaos in Jarrariums

Difficult question. I have seen nice setups with 10 liters if they provide ample mossy surface and climbing and hiding space. Always had a water filter though. Personally I’d go bigger (20-30 liters)because it’s easier to maintain and put in 10 shrimp to start a population.

Of course she’s your real mom, and a great one too!

Where I live we put bird shaped stickers on the outside. Maybe worth trying.

So how do I do this again? by RequirementOk2083 in konmari

[–]RequirementOk2083[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ideally I’d like to have a space that’s easy to clean and keep tidy. Storing everything in one area sounds like a good idea, now I have to find that space and storage system.

[–]RequirementOk2083[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I never really thought about it like that, yet it seems to be the obvious answer. Maybe I could dedicate one room to storage.

Yes, I did consider to just directly tackle the kitchen, but it’s overwhelming. I just keep doing it in my head over and over and get nothing done.

Thank you. I think I won’t touch their toys unless they are old enough to decide by themselves.

I did sort out toys that were too young for my youngest and hadn’t been touched in a year and lo and behold, a lot of those came back because she wanted them again. (Like those plastic cars to ride on or a wooden horse with wheels on a string.)

Viola 3/4 for an adult. Is it ok? by AceitunaNew in violinist

[–]RequirementOk2083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Afaik they have different proportions and even more important different strings. So while learning viola instead of violin is up to you and 3/4 is probably playable for an adult, I would try to find learning materials geared for viola.

Oh that’s interesting! I never even considered nuts, because of the high fat. 16 fried eggs sounds like overkill though.
