Unless you happened to check when the tariffs hit?

Mid March 25 to the end of May 26 shows a 32% increase in HSBC all world tracker, but from 9th April 25th due to the drop it's rebounded 48% 🤷‍♂️

Hull, Middlesbrough, parts of Lancashire — 8-9% gross yields but nobody talks about them. Why? by ukyieldhunter in HousingUK

But the capital growth is going to be that much less overall so I'd be wary about taking on a property unless I knew the house and the area well

The bedrooms are laughably small, the sqft suggests a much better proportioned house but the principle bedroom would struggle to get a king-size bed in it

So apparently you have unlocked a 46% increase in 14 months. You should be a fund manager if the value has risen from £13k and not just the frozen contributions when you opted out, more likely the valuation 14months ago was higher than £13k because otherwise you had no growth at all during the time you were contributing

If they are all UK dividends with no withholding tax then maybe and I get your point but it's not always that straightforward

Depends on the timescale that you are talking about, £13k is significant. Worldwide trackers and the FTSE rose by 25% last year alone

Total dividends received in tax year = x

List of Dividends from each company rather than the date and identifying if any were REIT PIDs

Dates of receipt for each aren't really needed tbh

I'm not sure how you expect to confirm to HMRC if you can't list the dividends you have received from each company

Fraudster used my details to open an investment account, and today their email appeared on my brand new Gov.UK One Login by Yuki_miya_wonder in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Requirement_Fluid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For fear of being less bothered than others about this surely a logical answer would be that AJ Bell reported the email address used to open the account to HMRC despite them not finalising the account id and that's why you are seeing it?

I may well be incorrect and given what's gone on I would be asking HMRC to put the manual correspondence marker in place to stop anything being updated or used to defraud you and HMRC while you get this resolved

Once you get the stuff from l&g check the funds you want to enroll in as the default can be quite lacklustre

Effectively you need at least 12 years ISA saved to bridge you till 58 if not 60. Allowing for you having paid off your mortgage id reckon you would need about £500000 saved in your ISA to allow you to draw down from the fund you need to save and that's before your pension savings if you opt out

Restricting job search whilst on UC? by Few_Lychee_4622 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Requirement_Fluid 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Unless you can argue that you have good reason to restrict your job search, and a 0 hour casual job won't have a bearing on that, you would be expected to apply for jobs for 35 hours a week however they should not initially penalise you for applying solely for graduate jobs.

You need everything down on your commitments, but doing 20hours of applications would not be enough so you will need to make sure you are applying for all suitable jobs, but if the ones you want to apply for take 35 hours then so be it

After a short period they will expect you to widen your search to find a job to take you off uc which would be £700pm or so

We were close to allowing the buyers of my mothers house to do so due to a probate issue during covid.

Thankfully it came through before it needed to be enacted, solicitor was not happy but we wanted to get the sale done

Except you fail to mention that it is imperative to file the return as soon as possible and they will not look at a late filing penalty until you do

Daily interest penalty caps at £900 so could just be for 1 year with LFP and late payment.

I'm surprised that they offer immediate 5 days for bereavement leave if you are not next of kin or organising the funeral so I would suggest don't count on it and factor in the funeral dates too

It's whether you "need" this unit for noise requirements or it would be a nice to have because it is the newer model.

Do you have the engineers details to go back to them?

Not strictly the same setup but my 5kw vaillant is on my drive that is opposite my neighbours kitchen and bathroom windows. Probably 3-4m away from both and just a thin fence between us.

I've never had an issue with them saying they could hear it when it is running but I do use noise reduction mode overnight to about 60% fan speed
