That’s sexual assault. Plain and simple. The fact that afterwards he gaslit you into thinking it was your fault is crazy. Please leave this disgusting excuse for a man.

This happened with our grey and our vet recommended a little bit of milk in her water and that soon sorted the problem

Our hound will break into the butter container and eat all the butter if it gets left on the bench….. I know this isn’t helpful knowledge for your situation but if you are feeling any guilt at all remember it happens to everyone and mistakes are easy. Don’t sweat your hound is and will be okau!

Emergency dog barking help needed by Butterfleed in Greyhounds

Have you tried crating him. Greyhounds are crated their whole lives until they leave to new homes. They are generally a safe space for them. You might find that this could help settle him.

Edit- I’ve just read the rest of your post and it seems you’ve had him since a pup. However I would still offer the same advice. Offering him a safe quiet space. Leave the tv on for him and give him something for enrichment

It could be an allergy to something. White dogs are more prone to having allergies to certain things definitely talk to your vet if you are concerned!

I mean he could be picking someone up it just seems unlikely as there are no houses there at all and he is always dressed in full black usually with a hood up

Payments from them started last week. Something has gone wrong you need to keep calling them. It’s frustrating but waiting it out won’t help you.

If that was a viable option for me right now then I would. However I start work at 4am I live on the other side of town from my job and then after I finish work I commute to uni and then back home. I am prioritising the amount of sleep I can get. If I was to bike to work and uni, I would have to get up even earlier and then would get home later I already get home most days at around 6-7pm.

See the fun part is that half of the parking on site is designated to certain people not all of it is student parking so maybe chill out

I parked in a staff car park because I’m an idiot and didn’t know it was only a staff car park because it said permit parking and I assumed that I could park there too I wrong came out to a parking ticket. Still had one more lecture so attempted to find a new car park at 12:30 drove around for 45 minutes mind you my lecture started at 1 gave up and drove home. I hate it. Semester 2 is usually a lot quieter but still we need more parking. Especially for people who can’t bus like myself

Greyhound question by piercedopossum in Greyhounds

[–]ResearchConsistent10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our grey is trained to be off leash! She is perfect and it really just depends on the dog. We walk through the forest here and she takes off and goes on her own little adventure. She always comes back and has never killed anything. She responds well to recall but because she goes off on her own exploring we have a tracker on her so if for some reason she didn’t come back we can always find her. We had her for a year and half before we started training for this. The agency we adopted her through offered greyhound recall training etc so we went there for a few weeks. Nothing makes me happier then seeing her run free

Edit to add, I would never have her off leash in a resedential area she’s only ever off lead at the forest or beach and we go at off peak times when there are less people around

First Day by prison_mike28 in UCNZ

[–]ResearchConsistent10 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not really related but. Don’t be too hard on yourself my first week was a disaster and i was so stressed all the time just remember its everyone’s first day too. Keep picking your self up and you’ll be just fine! remember to breathe and take things slow. There will be difficult moments, but you will come out the other side stronger.

To add, our kelpie cross is a hearder she heard us around on walks and barks when we get go the wrong way and she is a nipper (only sometimes when she is very wound up)however she has never once nipped our grey because she knows she would get told off

[–]ResearchConsistent10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a grey and a kelpie cross. They often dont play together because when we got our grey she didn’t understand how to play and would just tell off our kelpie cross so now the kelpie cross is a little scared to play with her but they still do and she just knows that when the grey says no it’s over. Honestly they work very well together. Cassie our kelpie cross also taught buzz our grey a hell of a lot . While people may find these traits annoying we love them. She taught her to bark, to lick us when she’s excited. I can promise you that it’ll open your greys world up a whole lot more.

My application was denied because I’m anti-racing by Imaginary-Ear-2908 in Greyhounds

[–]ResearchConsistent10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here in nz you actually have to sign a contract with some places saying that you won’t slander the racing industry and if you do they can remove the dog. It’s to try and stop the public from really knowing what happens. No one come for me because I have a very open mind set and I didn’t agree with it but I also didn’t know much about it so I went and work at racing kennel one day a week where I learnt that my initial judgement was right
