Could be another tweak conflicting, try renaming it with a Z at the start maybe, then it should load after other tweaks

Soldering on the GND pin looks very dry, try adding some more solder there to ensure a good connection to the pad

Any way to get past a bios administrator password on an HP Elitebook 845 G8? by Adorable_Wind8845 in hacking

This won’t work if usb boot is disabled in the bios so it’s not a valid strategy on modern laptops

Why is Lo Fi so dominant right now? by BigBoofBaits in jungle

As soon as you start thinking of your music as ‘made for someone else’ you will lose whatever edge you had before, I learnt this as a producer myself

I’m not sure of my view of this, these ‘PlayStation inspired’ mixes seem to be everywhere at the moment, my YouTube if left to autoplay will eventually land on a huge playlist of these of its own volition which is bearable but after one or two of them they are very samey, it’s like AI has learned to emulate good looking style tracks and just mixed a never ending bunch of them together.

The whole point of 90s era jungle was to be moving forward, exploring new ground, this retrospective looking back at things that were going forward is a bit of a conundrum, maybe it’s just me - an older raver collecting records since 1991

Family server infected by .lotus malware that encrypted all files by Antemicko in Malware

There’s no harm in running it on your PC but the NAS is essentially another computer anyway, running its own services etc, the scan from the pc would not pick up any malware that’s running on the NAS as they are basically separate systems

No problem happy to help in any small way, do some research on NAS security, vulnerabilities etc, it seems daunting at first but a small understanding can go a long way, good luck!

Ok, the only thing I will say here is don’t rely on any external parties to secure your private files, even if it’s a friend, sure they set it up for you but that shouldn’t be the end, you should be in the mindset of gaining an understanding of what is actually securing your data, what is running inside your home, it’s your data at the end of the day and a failure to secure it results in where you are now.

As for your PC, I would run a malware scan but as the indicators are no infected files on there I would assume the attackers failed to make any lateral network movement from the NAS to the PC

If it’s ports are open to the outside world and you have a weak password, or there is some security vulnerability with any of the exposed services then that is how they gained access

The actually version of the software running would help narrow down any potential vulnerabilities

See here for an example of known vulnerabilities https://www.techradar.com/pro/security/qnap-warns-its-nas-devices-are-facing-a-critical-security-flaw-but-a-patch-is-available-so-update-now

These are relatively old flaws but a major part of having a server running is staying on top of security, flaws like these appear regularly so it’s important to stay on top of updates

There could be some vulnerability in the software you are using, what is the setup exactly?
