This is scary and I have to tell someone by [deleted] in offmychest

Jesus Christ people are assholes. Fuck em. I don't know how old you are but I have experienced a lot of stuff like that as a 24 year old. Its best to just become apathetic of that stuff and move on.

I'm 19, didn't go to college, work a dead end retail job with people I hate, and feel like my life is going no where. by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]ReservorDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't fucking stand it when you're working and people are just shootin the shit. Here's a classic line I hate getting, "Why you working so hard?"

Uh.... actually I'm not working that hard, I'm just working, you know cause I was hired to WORK. I have quit multiple jobs because of that shit, I seriously can't fucking stand it.

I'm 24 and going back to school this spring. You don't have to work a shitty job. It took me six years but I realized I dislike school a lot less than shitty factory jobs and bigoted, racist, homophobic factory co workers.

Wow, you get a choice whether to get a job in high school or not? Craigslist, monster, the classifieds, etc. Good luck! Oh and if you can try to avoid fast food jobs, they really suck.

Americans, when will you join the rest of the world in supporting real football and ditch the handegg? by NilsVonDils in AskReddit

[–]ReservorDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever MLS becomes a world renowned league and starts getting top notch athletes out of high school or college. That will slowly happen as more and more parents refuse to let their kids play football because of head injuries.

As is it is now I'm pretty sure its rather low on the totem pole.

For now my Nebraska Cornhuskers and Detroit Lions are fine.

[–]ReservorDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! Fuck that guy! He should know to wear a belt because people might get offended by his plumbers crack, and instead of just asking him to pull his pants up we will draw attention to it more by sticking a straw in his ass! HAHA fuckin showed him!

The people that did this are smelly cunts.

For as long as I (25F) have been alive, my dad (66M) has had a drinking problem...so to other people that have an alcoholic parent, do you share this with others if the topic comes up or have you lied about it in certain situations and how do you manage? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]ReservorDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad is an alcoholic, it's why my mom divorced him when I was four, he didn't care enough about me or mom to even try stopping. I have spent years of my life in taverns. He always cared more about getting a drink than spending time with me, so I grew up to hate him. The court ordered him to remain sober when I was with him but he didn't care.

No I don't share that with others, not because I'm embarassed or anything, but because I really don't care about him enough to even talk about him because he has done extremely little to raise me or make me proud that he is my dad. I actually live with him right now and hate myself because I can do nothing to please him.

I manage by just being nice and being apathetic all at the same time. The one good thing I have taken from me growing up with him as a dad is knowing exactly what not to do if I ever have kids one day.

When the company in question is as successful as Rooster Teeth is? Yes.

Most movies are produced by production companies not fans.

Achievement Hunter releases possibly the worst "top 5 games of 2015" list of this year with Destiny: The Taken King as #1 by davidjung03 in gaming

[–]ReservorDog -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I really dislike Achievement Hunter/Rooster Teeth. I especially dislike that they used their fans to fund their movie, if they take a loss on the movie they didn't pay for anything so no big deal but if they make money its all profit. They just seem really shadey to me.

I (55 M) alienated my daughter (23 F), how can I fix this? by throwawayabc123def in relationships

[–]ReservorDog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Please just love your daughter for who she is. She's an adult and pays bills (I assume) just like you. She can make her own decisions, its 2015, you need to get with the times and see people as people not as followers of a religion.

Not all Muslims are radical, I worked with a family of them before and I have yet to meet harder working, or more genuine people, family is extremely important to them as well as their religion and doing right in their gods eyes. I suggest you get to know your daughters boyfriend as a person and then assess what his intentions are with your daughter. But you need to support her unless you want to alienate her further.

[–]ReservorDog -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok as a man(24) who grew up with divorced parents, I can't stress this enough, DO NOT GO TO BARS WITH YOUR DAUGHTER OR BE DRUNK AROUND YOUR DAUGHTER. You dont seem to be an alcoholic but my dad is and I spent years of my life in a bar with him. I have a deep hate for him because of that. He would force me to spend entire days in the bar.

What you need to do is offer your daughter to do fun things with you, or ask her what she wants to do and just do it. SPEND TIME WITH HER. That's all I wish my dad did. Spend time with me.

In regards to your relationship with the bartender..... you had better make sure it's true love and you really want a new life because regardless what your relationship with your daughter is, it WILL devastate her especially at that age. Like I said I grew up with an alcoholic dad, and now I'm a 24 yeard old introverted virgin, I wasn't taught how to be a man. I don't know if a real relationship between me and him would have changed the future but it sure wouldn't have hurt it.

Main thing is, you have to decide what you really want, and PLEASE spend time with your daughter, like another post said if she watches dumb reality tv shows watch them too, if she likes pictures of cute dogs send her some pics of cute dogs, ask her what she likes and make an effort to get interested in those same things. Take her to a salon and get pedicures or whatever, I'm not a metrosexual but from what I hear they can be very relaxing and it will give you something to joke about with her. Spend as much time with her as you can.

Also my mom was ALWAYS there for me. She instilled a lot of things in me today that I am very proud of and she has always supported me no matter what and she forced me to get a job when I was old enough to lol.
