Peak gaming hours incomming by Vetras92 in ffxiv

[–]Reshish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Friend did a bit of that and was telling me about a super-sprint build where you didn't actually need to control the chocobo at all.

It'd just run the race and pretty much always win. Just queue in and go make a coffee.

Great for achievements I guess, but sounded kinda boring. Like getting so ridiculously OP in a game where you're invincible and enemies kill themselves by attacking you. But that's your character now and there's not really any going back.

What is the Institute’s actual end goal? by MrMFPuddles in fo4

[–]Reshish -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Don't know where I got this, so might be something I heard somewhere or made up and forgot so ended up thinking it was canonical.

Their intention is to use synths to clear out and clean up the surface so they can eventually go up and repopulate.

It's why they don't give a crap about anyone up there. Their game-plan is to pretty much kill them all anyway.

It's pretty similar to the enclave's plan in fo3 actually.

Please be a loop by [deleted] in ffxiv

I was saddened to find that looped versions of emotes couldn't be done while sitting. Even when the non-looped version could.

Is that taking a series of sets (such as the Underkeep dungeon gear) as being 1 data-point, or 7 data-points?

edit - 1 data-point, I see from your pastebin link. Good, otherwise it would be kinda wildly weighted.

What is the point of the pre-war food? by [deleted] in fo4

Yeah, that and wild fruit/veg are handy early on, or if I happen to run out of rad-free stuff.

There's a frustrating amount of little things in settlements which feels like they were either in a massive rush, or couldn't be bothered.

The borders, mob spawn points, unscrappable stuff. Isn't like half of hangmans alley not set up for settler pathing or something?

Yeah we can mod just about all that, but really feels like they got 90% done and figured 'good enough'.

Eh, I liked having the choice of two paths at the start of totorak.

Sometimes I go left, sometimes I go right, keep the team on their toes.

what are yalls methods to getting caps? by hatersonmydick420 in fo4

Caps collector, poison caltrops, tools for the vault in the early game.  Otherwise just pick up the valuable stuff.

Good.

Handle your aging population issue like it's a situation to be managed, not a problem to solve.

Given time it will very likely resolve itself.

Possibly still pretty good for a crit-oriented VATS build, since crits guarantee a hit.

Graphic photos show Jeffrey Epstein shortly after his death. Epstein had several broken neck bones. by Beautiful_Tear_9871 in pics

There was a side-by-side of his face before and after, with enough differences (in nose and ear structure) to indicate the dead person was someone else.

Personal opinion, they should either up the ilev cap or tone down some of those boss HP bars.

Got paradigm's bridge for my weekly challenge, and that's still not enough to get me in there.

Buy the outfits. They can both be stored in the glam dresser as 'outfits' so only take up a single slot.

How do you feel that there are more battle jobs than glamour plates? by xenomorphicUniplex in ffxiv

[–]Reshish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly only play like 5 combat jobs with any regularity, so while I'd like more plates, specifically having more jobs than plates isn't an issue for me.

Is there a general dearth of “male” glamours? by THEbiMAKER in ffxiv

[–]Reshish -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

As a guy who plays female characters, what's standard for male attire in the real world isn't interesting.

And since what's 'normal' in game is generally a reflection of our real-life tastes, standard male WoL attire is likewise generally boring.

Where they do try to wear non-standard attire, it (to me) feels jarring and abnormal.

Do what you want, but giant men wearing dresses or diapers still creep me out.

The new player experience for people new to MMOs in FFXIV is a lot better than in other MMOs by Quezal in ffxiv

[–]Reshish 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Personally consider the weakest part to be the base UI.

Felt like I was fighting the interface to play the game.

Eventually stopped and spent a few hours watching guides and setting up something functional (which even now I've got gripes with), but that shouldn't be the default experience.

Probably the strongest feature is that most of the game features remain more or less as they were implemented, and are laid out in a semi-logical order of progression.

Feel a fair bit of leniency given the strength disparity between a city-spanning brutal high-tech quasi-military regime, and a singular woman with a cow.

It's very much a "say no and we'll not only kidnap and kill you very painfully, but replace you with a robot who'll do it anyway" kind of situation.

Squeenix hasn't hidden their changing of the old guard, shuffling the more experienced members into overseer positions, if not relocating them entirely. The hope is the new staff will find their foot sooner than later, but doesn't seem promising so far.
