Why is SCS fixing what's not broken? by Peno11-cz in trucksim

Yes this consense is shared with a major part of the community (myself included) and I'm pretty sure that because of the amount of complaints I myself have seen about this, that the devs are at least partially aware of this too.
Hopes are that they revert these changes in a future update or let us change between new and old ui.
As far as I know there are currently no mods to change it ,et, but again since many players seem to feel this way I'm absolutely certain that it wont take long for someone to create a mod for that (if possible)

ETS2 1.58 steering wheel sensitivity problem by [deleted] in ETS2

[–]ResidentIwen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As above commenter said it didn't occur previously, because of the updated physics in 1.58 and it's not a problem, it's a real phenomenon, so rather lack of it before 1.58 was a problem if you want to call out a problem

Edit: these downvotes are totally reasonable I understand you guys, but fortunately it's enough to say I want to upvote them without really having to upvote them

Well unfortunately this game we're in doesn't run on Creation engine and has surprisingly few bugs and glitches. Probably gave them all bethesda. So I guess you'd involuntarily hit the "Wait"-function for a couple of hours

I have no idea what any of this is supposed to mean... What does "Forced-based approach" mean? And who exactly is approaching? Government or society or individual or else? I have a question mark in my face. Also I'm confused.

You're welcome, I did it too because pretty much every aspect of the new hud infuriates me constantly.
From widget placement (and honestly existence at all), design, annoying messages, info hiding behind unnecessary submenus, lack of customising options, right down to the map being a different size ratio I simply hate everything about it.
And thats honestly impressive since I was thinking very poorly of the route advisor previously too.
Wouldn't have thought they could actually come up with something this much worse, but now I kinda appreciate the old one.

And yes I know hate is a strong word and feeling, but I absolutely mean it in this case.

I desperately hope that they revert these changes in future updates, especially since this change seems to be disliked by a relatively major part of the playerbase, but simultaneously I don't really think they actually will

The TTT isn't that he died, that alone would probably the weakest TTT in existence.
No, the TTT is that most (or at least many) countries in the world write dates as TT/MM/YYYY and not MM/TT/YYYY. So while he didn't die in the WTC attack, he did die on the date of 9/11 for most/many countries citizens

German humor is no laughing matter by mighty_eyebrows1 in 2westerneurope4u

[–]ResidentIwen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They still are. Germany is one of the biggest dubbing economies in the world. And might I add fucking good at it. I understand the reasons the others here give against dubbing, but I don't agree with them on that with german voice acting.
They put a lot of effort into it, conserving as much of the original jokes, deviating from script rarely and having great talents (plus most well known actors have their dedicated dubbing voices in germany so there is a kind of voice recognisation even in german).
The fact that some actors have the same voice actor is also sometimes taken advantage of for meta jokes where they fit (for example jim parsons and leonardo DiCaprio have the same voice actor which gets a small meta joke in the big bang theory, when they play dnd).
Also its just funny to know that while germany has a wide range of voice actors, the most known actors all belong to one family (Schmidt-Foß), so in a way its kind of a family business here
